Chapter 18:

Gray's PoV

As Erza, Gajeel, Natsu and I are wondering the forest, Natsu gets to thinking. "What if Luce got into some trouble with bad guys?" He asks, hands behind his head. "Lucy wouldn't have done anything like that." I tell him, getting a bit angry as he didn't trust my sister. "But you guys hadn't even heard from one another in, what, 13 years? How could you know?" Gajeel adds. "I JUST KNOW, OKAY!" I shout at them and storm off.

Natsu's PoV

"Now look what you did." Erza sighed. "Sorry, I just don't have a good feeling about this place." I shove my hands in my pockets. "Neither does any of us Natsu. We just have to trust Lucy and see who took her." Erza told me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Let's go find Gray. You pushed him away after all." She squeezed my shoulder so hard I thought it'd pop off and we ran after Gray.

I followed his scent to an underground cave, just under the temple, it seemed. "Gray!" Erza called out. "Yo, Ice-Pick! Where'd you go?" I called out. "Keep it down will yah. You might cause an earth quake or somethin'." Gajeel grumbled. When we reached the centre of the cave, we found Gray kneeling on the floor, staring at something. "Gray. There you are. What happen..." Erza trailed off as she too, saw the object Gray seemed so afraid of. "De-Deloria." Gray gasped. "What?" I ask. "The de-demon." He repeats. "He's the thing that separated my family!" He lashed out and made an ice spear with his hands, slamming it into the ground. "He's supposed to be dead! What the hell is he doing here!?" He questioned, but I don't think he was looking for an answer. "Gray. Calm down and tell us." Erza spoke softly. Apparently, Gray had started crying. "That's Deloria. A demon from the book of Zeref." He paused to let it sink in. "He invaded my village before I found my master. He killed my parents and almost everyone in my town." He breathed. "Then later. My master, her other student and I found him again. I tr-tried to use ice shell on it. My master interviewed and did it instead." He stopped. "What's ice shell?" I ask. "It uses life energy of the ice Mage casting it and creates an ice shield around it. The stronger the Mage, the more effective it is. M-My master killed herself to trap that demon. WHY IS IT HERE?!" He slams his fist again.

Suddenly, we hear foot steps coming our way and I pick up Gray, following him behind a rock, and we all jump over with him. "The time is almost here, emperor. The girl has been prepared." Voice one says. "Have you secured the island?" Voice two asks. "Yes. It seems that some fairytail mages have gone to the village, but Sherry and Toby are dealing with it. I shall be joining them soon." Voice one replies. "Good. You should go soon. We're are so close to our destination." Voice two states. "Emperor! Emperor! The girl has escaped again!" Another male comes to the scene. "Again! How can she escape when she's unconscious!" The 'Emperor' lashes out. "I don't know sir. We didn't take our eyes off her. We blinked and she was gone!" The new voice states. "Then don't blink! Find the girl and capture her! Nail her hands to the temple for all I care! Just don't lose her!" Everyone leaves and we relax. "Do you think they were talking about Luce?" I ask them all. Gray stands up triumphantly. "Let's leave before they come back. Or before Gray breaks something." Erza told us and we snuck back out the cave.

Lucy's PoV

When I wake up, my limbs were once again tied to something. But this time it was rope, not metal, magic-cancelling chains. I pretended to stay unconscious, as I knew someone would be watching. Then I took my chance. I made flames with my hands and burned the ropes of and jumped to a pillar. Breathing rapidly, from the instant activity, I stay as still as possible. "She's gone!" A few gasp. Then they all leave to go tell their master. I slowly sink to the floor. What have I gotten myself into, Fuego. I sigh, bring my knees to my chin and softly cry, knowing that my dragon is officially dead, and that I probably won't be saved.

After a few minutes, I recollected myself. Okay Lucy, you can do this! I stood triumphantly and fist pumped the air. I'm all fired up now! I giggle. I then think of a plan.

I get a key from my pocket, which my surprised they didn't take away from me. "Open the gate of the twins! Gemini!" I whisper shout, pulling the key up then down and to the side. Then, two alien looking, little spirits appear in front of me. "Piri Piri~!" They sing. "Here Gemi, Mini. Long time no see." I wave, blushing out of guilt. "Piri Piri." They shake they heads with a sour expression on their faces. "Anyway~ I need you guys to turn into me." I giggle, trying to change the subject. They do as told. "I want you to run around the temple like crazy. If they catch you, return right back to the celestial world. Be careful now~." I wave them off as they poof off to somewhere in the temple. "Right. Now I need to find out what they're doing. I don't want them doing this to any other celestial Mage." I stretch out my back and arms. I look off to the distance of the island, using my hands as binoculars to see better. "It looks like there's a village over their. If I ask some of them if they know anything, maybe I'll be able to stop them." I start jumping down the blocks of the exterior walls that protected the temple from natural threats. Don't worry Fairytail. I'll return.
