Fitz's POV

I grunt as I throw Laney off of my stomach. Ever since she hit the age of four, she has made it her personal mission to make my life miserable.  Of course she acts like a complete Angel to anyone else, but to me, she is the demon.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! You sleepy head!" I groan as I slam my pillows over my head in hopes that it could get her to shut up. She doesn't seem to get that I'm about to blow up.

"Laney! If you don't get off of me I am going to spank your butt so hard you won't be able to sit for years!" I threaten as I sit up and glare at the bubbly little girl in front of me.

Curly brown hair and Crystal blue eyes would make any person falls for her innocent looks, but if you were in my shoes for one day, you would know she is anything but innocent.

"If you do that, I tell Daddy on you." She threatens right back as she wiggles her tiny finger in my face. I growl as I pounce forward abd trap her underneath my body. She giggles as I growl in her face, completely unaware that I am holding Zambian back from shifting and hurting her in the process.

Lately, as in the past few months, I have been having a hard time holding Zambian, my lion, back. I don't know if it's because I'm just not able to control him, or if it's because of Finn.

Ever since we turned fifteen, almost three years ago, he once again started to hang out with other people to try and get away with me, much like he did when we were only nine. It still hurts everyday knowing that he doesn't want to be around me, so much so that he has moved to another room across the pack house when he use to have the room right next to mine.

I think he knows he is hurting me in the process, because every once in a while I see regret pass by his face as he looks at me, but it soon replaced with his blank expression before he is looking for his next conquest for the night.

I'm the classic nerd, glasses and everything, even though since I'm a shifter I should have perfect vision, I don't. I love to read, I could sit in my room and read for hours on end before getting bored. Math is also one of my favorite pastimes. I could sit in my room and do math homework all day and not get annoyed, or irritated.

Finn, is the classic bad boy. He wears black jeans and leather jackets most of the time. He likes to stay out all night doing who knows what, and his favorite pastime is being on top of another female doing things I rather wouldn't.

Complete opposites, but I think that's what draws me to him.

Soon, he will realize that we are perfect for each other. That we are meant to be. Zambian whispers in my head as we finally climb off of Laney and rush out of the room before we did something we would hate ourselves for.

Yeah, but how long will that take? I ask right back as I pace in front of the bathroom. I can hear Dad inside, humming as he goes about taking his shower. I know I could go to another bathroom, but for some reason my feet stay put in front of the occupied bathroom.

About ten minutes later, Dad finally comes out of the bathroom, and does a double take when he sees me glaring at the door. He gives me a weird look but allows me to brush past him and into the bathroom. I hear him call out to Laney as he walks down the stairs, no doubt knowing what has put me in such a bad mood.

I grumble as I go about my daily routine in the bathroom, taking longer then needed, but doing so to piss off anyone else who needs to use it. I feel rebellious today, but it's not like I care that I am taking an extra five minutes in the bathroom.

I stumble back into my room with only a towel wrapped around my waist. I hold my dirty PJ's to my chest as I hurry through the halls.

I know I don't have a bad body, but looking at some of the warriors as we are doing patrols or training, I can't help but feel wimpy to them. Even to Finn. Daddy said that we always looked just like eachother, same height, same hair color, eye color, but in the last five years he has shot up, and bulked up about twenty pounds in muscle, while I've grown maybe half a foot, barely reaching six feet, and my hair has lightened considerably since I was a kid, now it is almost blonde.

I gasp as I bump into someone. I look up in shock and swallow loudly when I see that it is Finn that I ran into. I give him a shaky smile before brushing past him and into my room. I hear him hesitate for a second before he turns and follows me into my room.

I feel awkward. It's been almost five years since I've changed in front of Finn. I don't plan on doing it now, either. So I turn and gesture for him to say what he is going to say.

I see his gaze drift over my chest before he looks into my eyes, his suddenly darker from something I'm not able to identify.

"Dad told me to come get you for breakfast. He also wants me to make sure you're okay after being woken up by Laney." I haven't told me about my problems with controlling Zambian, but they have come to the conclusion that I am having some difficulties, if the sudden shifts I have ben having lately is any consideration.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be down in a few minutes." I say shortly as I look down at the ground. The clothes in my arms are pressed tightly against my chest in a desperate hope to keep it hidden from my brother. Finn looks at me for another minute, before turning and leaving the room just as quietly as he entered.

I let out a giant breath as I drop the clothes on the floor. My bad mood just got worse from the encounter with my brother. I just wished that he would look at me like how I look at him.
