I laugh as we all remember when Daddy got his head stuck in the toilet, trying to reassure Laney that there aren't any monsters in the toilet when we began potty training her. She said she would only believe him if he checked to make sure. Papa was able to capture a picture of the moment before Papi went and broke the toilet seat in half and helped Daddy out.

Lets just say that Laney didn't get potty trained for a while after the traumatic experience.

“That hurt so bad! I was so mad when I saw you were taking a picture. I wanted to strangle you like the toilet was doing to me.” Daddy wheezes out as he holds the small photo in his hands. I laugh with him as I look around all of us. I see everyone has lightened up tremendously since we began to look at the pictures, everyone besides Dad, who doesn't even crack a smile as all of us lose ourselves over the legendary picture.

Dad catches me look at him and he forces a small smile before he is once again looking down at the table, now fidgeting that he knows my gaze has been on him for an unknown amount of time.

“I remember how Dad had to try and calm Laney down, because she thought that a monster had tried to eat Daddy. You even had to sit on the toilet to show her that there wasn't anything that could hurt her, but she still refused to even go in the bathroom for months.” I add as I continue to look at Dad. Daddy looks over and see Dad isn't as happy as the rest of us and his face instantly pulls into worry. Yes.

“Babe, what's wrong.” Daddy whines as he reaches over and tugs on Dad’s shirt sleeve. I see Dad flinch a little from the contact, and so do the others. Dad notices his own behavior and forces another fake smile for our sake.

“Nothing, nothing is wrong at all. I was just reminiscing.” You wouldn't have to have super hearing to know that he is lying. His voice cracks halfway through and gives him away. You can see him trying to swallow his emotions as his throat bobs up and down.

“All of us know that is complete bullshit. What's wrong?” Papa asks as he stares Dad down. Dad rolls his eyes as he purposely looks down at the table in front of him.

“He thinks he's a bad dad because of everything that is happening.” I blurt out when I see that he isn't going to say anything any time soon, we all know how stubborn he can be sometimes. Dad's head snaps up and he is giving me a stone cold killer stare. If I wasn't his son and have seen his glare used on other people in the pack, then would be wetting my pants, but I'm use to this look.

“What? Josiah, is this true? Why would you think of something as absurd like that?” Daddy cries as he turns fully to look at Dad. He seems to finally notice the distance that Dad has put between all of us and himself, and his eyes widen when he gets his answer without even needing an answer.

“You can't deny that some of it hasn't been my fault! I've never been the kind of Dad that all of you have been, I've never tried to be a part of all of the kids lives, and now three more are on the way, double the amount we already have, and I'm struggling with the three we do have. I'm happy you're pregnant, but I don't want to fail them like I have with Finn, Fitz, and Laney.” Dads calm facade seems to snap when all of our gazes are on him and he slowly breaks down in front of us, expressing his concerns and the reason as to why he is acting the way he is. Daddy seems heartbroken when he sees his mate crying and saying he is a bad father, Papi and Papa aren't much better and look close to tears also.

“No, Josiah. You are one on the best fathers in the world. The three of us couldn't take care of the kids, the pack, and each other, without your silent support and help through all of this we wouldn't have been able to make it. You've been there for me every time that I thought that I was finally going to give up, all of the late night cravings and you held my hand and I gave birth to our daughter. You not a bad dad, if anything you the best out of all of us.” Dad seems surprised by Daddy's words, but when he looks over to Papi and Papa, he sees them with the same answers in their eyes.

I look away when I feel a tug on my hand. Finn is trying to pull me out of my seat so that we can give our fathers the time they need alone. I follow his lead and hold his hand as he walks us to his room. I think now is the time that the two of us have our own talk, seeing as the mood has already been dimmed.
