I walked up on the stage, slightly agitated, because Sollux had convinced me to sing the song I had wrote when i had thrown one of my tantrums.

I kept singing until I noticed Dave standing in the back.

I noticed I had tears staining my cheeks as I ran off the stage and out the door. I could hear my friends calling after me but I just kept running.
He heard everything! Fuck!
"Karkles! Come back!" Dave yelled.
"Fuck off Strider!" I screamed and my voice cracked. I sobbed escaped my lips and I fell to my knees.
"Karkles....?" he whispered.
I scrabbled to my feet and stumbled slightly.
"Get the fuck away from me Strider!" I screamed. I was trembling as tears fell down my cheeks.
"No." He took a step closer. His voice was smooth as glass while mine was like shattered glass, sharp and broken. I took a step back and stumbled again.
"Listen to me," he said.
"No! Fuck off! I hate you!" I screamed....or tried to. My voice came out as a broken sob.
"Just stay away! Please?" I sobbed. He shook his head.
"I can't do that Karkles. You know that," he whispered.
"Please? Dave please?" I was shaking now. Everything hurt. "Stay away. I'm a big fucking mistake...." I whispered.
"No Karkat, no you're not." He sounded so sincere I just wanted to fall into his open arms.
"Come on Karkles." He said and gestured with his hands for me to come to him. I took a hesitant, shaky step toward him and fell into his arms.
His arms wrapped around me tightly as I cried and clutched his shirt.
"Fuck..." I sobbed quietly.
"Karkles what was that on the stage?" He muttered quietly into my hair.
"I'm sorry Dave but I love you! And I'm sorry for that and for being a mistake, for being worthless and -" I was cut off by soft lips pushing onto mine.
I instantly stiffen and his lips press harder. I melted and wrapped my arms around his neck. I slipped his shades off and when we pulled away his eyes opened.
They were a beautiful scarlet that I instantly fell in love with. My head span and I held onto him a little tighter. My eyes glued to his. The only thing I could concentrate on were his eyes. His beautiful scarlet eyes that he never showed to anyone but was letting me stare at and get lost in.
"Karkles." he whispered.
"Hmmm?" I murmured in a day-dreamy voice.
"Karkles I gotta have my shades back. The others are coming." He smiled softly.
"Okay.." I still sounded out of it but I handed him his shades and instantly snapped back into it when he put them on.
He leaned down and pressed our lips back together and his kiss was more insistent. He seemed to be telling me that I wasn't worthless, or a mistake, or anything bad at all. I pressed against him and heard a whoop from behind me. I turned to see Gamzee, Sollux, Terezi, Rose, and the rest of out friends. Dave tsked and pulled my lips back to his. He gently bit my bottom lip and I gasp quietly. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I moaned softly.
"Go Karbro!" Gamzee whooped.
He pulled away leaving me gasping for breath and completely star-struck.
"I love you Karkles." He whispered in my ear.
"I'm flushed for you to fuckass." I grinned.
