I peeked open my eyes, groggily, looking over at the ray of sunlight that shone in Alex’s face. I felt so lucky to have found someone as amazing as her. I kissed her on her forehead then I got up and closed the curtain. I walked up to the kitchen softly and turned on my coffee maker. I tried to be especially quiet because I knew Terry had passed out on the couch after helping Abby into the spare room. The pounding in my head reminded me that I was no longer that 17 year old that could drink a whole night and wake up the next morning, hangover free. I wondered who’s great idea it was to finish two and half bottles of Scotch while giggling like school girls? I opened a bottle of aspirin and popped two in my mouth. I took out the coffee and poured a glass. I nearly dropped the coffee when I saw two big blue eyes in front of me.
“Where is my coffee?” Asked Terry.
I took an extra cup out of the cupboard and handed her the cup.
“I didn’t mean to wake you.” I stated.
“You didn’t, it was the fresh smell of coffee that did.”
I laughed at her, covering my mouth with my sleeve.
I took out two pans and placed them on the stove. I broke a couple of eggs in one pan and threw some bacon in the other. I placed four slices of bread in the toaster and started to make everyone breakfast. I wanted to wake up Alex with some breakfast in bed, but when I was near done I saw she had already taken a seat next to Terry.
“Morning gorgeous.” She said smiling at me.
“Morning.” I said back feeling a little blush creep over my face.
“Did you sleep well?” She asked smiling her teasing smile at me.
We both knew that out of all four girls in this house, we were the ones who got the least sleep, because we decided to be naughty before bed.
My face was now red hot because of where my thoughts had travelled. Terry and Alex were now giggling a bit as if they both had read my mind.
“I slept well thank you, just not enough.” I said, my face still red hot.
This made them giggle even more.
After the giggling had faded I announced that the food was ready.
Terry jumped at the chance to take Abby’s food to her, so she could have a breakfast in bed, because as always, Abby was sleeping in.
I took mine and Alex’s food over to the lounge and placed her plate in her hand. She closed her eyes and took in one big whiff of the bacon and eggs. It looked as if she savoured the smell for a while then she opened her eyes.
“It smells marvellous!” She exclaimed. I smiled at her and took a big bite of bacon. This caused her to laugh.
“So what are your plans for today? Alex asked looking up from her empty plate.
I looked over at the clock on the wall. It was just before 11 o’clock.
“Well, I guess I have some time to grab a quick workout at the gym. Then I am going to work on a new song and buy some groceries later today.”
“Oh, I love shopping.” Alex said imitating a barby doll like girl causing me to smile.
“I just wanna grab a quick shower.” I said before placing a kiss on her lips.
She then grabbed the back of my neck and pushed my face even harder into hers, deepening the kiss. Her lips forced mine open and I was more than happy to welcome her tongue that now entwined with mine.
“Urgg Hmm.”
I looked up to see who was clearing their throat, clearly as an indication for us to stop kissing.
