Chapter 20

CHAPTER TWENTY

One year later.

A lot has happened in the last year. Who knew pregnancy would be so hard. From swollen feet to a hurting back, some mood swings and food cravings, things were just hectic. When the time came to finally give birth I couldn’t wait to get my child out of me. Don’t get me wrong I think pregnancy is a beautiful thing, I just don’t think that I will be having another child ever. Not only did it hurt when I had to push that thing out of me, it also made me fat, but it was definitely worth it when I got to hold my handsome little man in my arms. Alex, Mike and I had decided on calling him Connor. We all liked the name from the minute it left Terry’s lips. Everyone was in the room with me that day, and if I do say so myself, I’m pretty good at making children.

I managed to lose only half of my baby weight so far, and signed a record deal with M-Voice Records. They were really patient with my pregnancy and I made a deal with Scott that I would have the first demo ready for him only three months after little man was born if they waited for me. I kept my words and so did he.

Mike and Katy only when on a few dates before he decided that she was bat shit crazy and dumped her. She came to stay by us for a while to get over her breakup with him. That was the longest two months of my life.

Abby and Terry are still together and are currently looking for a new apartment so they can begin their lives together. Abby still hasn’t told her parents about her and Terry. They think that Terry and Abby are just really close friends. Terry sometimes gets frustrated by this but she isn’t pressuring her into doing anything she doesn’t want her to do.

As for Alex and I; she officially moved in by me, with all her junk and boxes and not just with her clothes. I am extremely happy with her and when we touch it still feels like lightning is traveling up my veins. We fought a lot because of my mood swings but it was worth it because afterwards we had great make up sex. Tonight is our one year anniversary and Alex decided to take me out for dinner at a very expensive restaurant.

While I was slipping on a red tight fitting cocktail dress, for our first evening out on the town as parents, Alex pooped her head inside the door.

“How far are you, babe?” She asked then gasped.

“Damn you look hot. I should take you out for dinner more often, if it means I get to see you in a dress.” She chuckled.

“You don’t look so bad yourself missy.” I said, looking at Alex up and down.

She had on a dark green dress that really brought out her eyes even more. Her dress was just a little longer than mine and snug tightly around her tiny frame. Just looking at her was getting me all excited downstairs. Not that I needed a reason, Alex could just wear a short with a t-shirt and I would be all over her.

“For someone who’s all about punctuality, you sure like to be late a lot.” Alex was still teasing.

“We have to still drop off Connor at his dad’s.” She added laughing when I stuck my tongue out at her previous comment.

“Okay I’m ready my queen.” I said taking her hand in mine. I bowed down a bit and placed her hand against my mouth, giving it a soft peck.

This made her blush and over the year I’ve learned that I really appreciated the shade of pink on her face. It would make a bad day better and a good day even more so.

I walked over to car with Connor in my arms. He was quite big for baby of three months. I placed him in his car seat that was neatly in the middle of the backseat. I admired the fact that he mostly looked like me except for his nose; he had the same looking nose as Mike’s but that didn’t bother me as much. At least Mike had a small button nose. I saw Alex lock up the house and then she made her way up to the car.
