Stella's POV
The next week, my dress came in the mail. I hadn't shown anyone but my mom any pictures and I'd avoided the topic of my dress at school. It was a royal blue two piece dress, a crop top and a skirt. The crop top part was kinda like a halter and it was covered in rhinestones. The bottom skirt part had a thin jeweled belt. I thought it was absolutely gorgeous.
Today was Wednesday including today there was 3 days until homecoming. I don't have a date but I am required to be there because cheerleaders run the dance. We have to run the dance otherwise we probably would never get new things (who ever runs the dance gets the funds made from the dance). Nobody really considers cheerleading a sport. So no one buys us stuff we need, like poms, shoes, and bows. In the girls locker room we don't even get our own lockers because the volleyball girls don't think we deserve them. Whatever. I've been through 2 years of them bossing us around what's 2 more going to do to me?

My alarm woke me at 5:45am I set it for 15 minutes before I actually want to get up cause it takes me about that much time to actually get out of bed. Once I finally managed to get out of bed I looked at my phone 6:02. Perfect. I thought to myself. I slowly walked to the bathroom to see what I had to work with today. My hair was still in the braids I put in my hair last night they were just a lot messer. I put braids in my hair cause it's healthier for your hair. I took the braids out and took off the bra and spandex I slept in and hopped in the shower.
Thirty minutes later I got out of the shower and started my daily makeup routine. Primer, concealer, foundation, bronzer, highlighter, blush, eyeshadow eyeliner, brows, mascara and lipstick. It seems like a lot but really it's not I make everything I do look natural. I don't cake it on like a pageant princess. I took the towel out of my hair, blow dried it and put two french braids in. I walked into my room with just a towel around my body. I picked out a black crop top that had a pocket and a maroon skater skirt.
I looked at my phone it was already 7:10. My friends and I usually got there at around 7:30 and we would hang out in the commons. I grabbed a Togo coffee cup from the cupboard and filled it three-quarters of the way full the rest of the space I put peppermint mocha flavored creamer in. Even though it was September it was still my favorite flavor of creamer. I opened the fridge and grabbed a yogurt. I set my stuff on the counter and went to go find my mom. She was in the bathroom still getting ready for the day "Hey I'm going to head out for the day see you after school."
"Oh you look nice today."
"Thanks I'm leaving bye."
"Bye sweetie love you!"
"Love you too!" I replied. I grabbed my keys and got into my car. When I got to school all my friends were there to greet me. Aria was with Blake, of course.
"Hey Stella guess what?" Aurora said giving me no time to actually guess. "I'm getting a real phone this weekend!"
"Finally." I said with relief. Aura has a "dumb phone," as we like to call it, and has had it since 8th grade. She lives in one of those families that don't really believe she needs a phone so they got her a tracfone after weeks of her begging for a phone. We couldn't text her that much it was easiest if we called her and she can't send pictures which is really hard when your trying to explain stuff to her. Vivian had got asked yesterday by Merrick, it was so cute. Willow and Aurora promised to go with me since I hadn't been asked but they hadn't either so it worked out perfectly.
School went by in a flash today for some reason probably cause we didn't do much. Now it was cheer practice and Aurora and I were assigned to make the run-through for the game on Friday. We painted a white sign with red words that read "We can't keep calm, its football season!" After we were done with that we had to wait for it to dry so we could roll it up and put it in the cheer closet.
The cheer closet was a small 2 foot by 4 foot room where we stored our game poms and extra bows and socks. We also had all the craft supplies in there for when we made our posters for spirit week and such. While we waited for it to dry we went through cheers and dances. The rest of the squad was having a normal practice. They got out before us because we couldn't leave till it dried. We were at the school for about 30 minutes after the rest of the girls so it wasn't to bad.
I had to go to dance after cheer. I had technique class today which goes over the basics. Class was pretty boring today we did all of the barre exercises which took up most of our class. After class I stayed and talked with my friend Courtney she was a year younger than me but she was a good dancer. We talked for about 15 minutes after class and then we both went home. When I got home It was about 6:30. I looked at my phone, a couple likes on Instagram, a follow request, snapchat from like 6 random people in my class who just wanted a streak, my cousin, and Neil. I unlocked my phone to look at it. Hey, how are you?
Good hbu?
Great! We haven't really talked much lately
This was true we hadn't talked in school or on snapchat in about 2 weeks. Yeah I know. I responded trying not to acted like I cared that much
So what have you been up to?
We talked all night or until I fell asleep which was like 1:00. I wish he would've asked me to homecoming, but he didn't, so it must just be a sign from God that I don't need a man in my life to distract me.
