Sixteen

Ellie's POV
I miss Dad. I know how horrible he's being should make me not miss him but he still is one of my favourite actors.

"Ellie, please come here." Mom says.

I walk downstairs into the living room and see Dad, Mom, Tristan and his parents.

Tristan looks like he's been crying so I immediately go and sit by him. He pushes me off which is strange so I go and sit in between Mom and Dad.

"Explain." I say, I'm super confused at the minute.

Tristan looks over at me with tears in his eyes. I know exactly what's coming. He's breaking up with me. I don't even give him a chance to speak.

"Thanks for the lies Tristan." I spit, running upstairs.

I hear everyone mumbling things downstairs. I can't believe they've been planning this all along. They wanted me and Tristan to break up.

"Ellie, can I come in?" Dad says.

"Sure, as long as you don't hurt me." I say, sitting up on my bed.

"Look, we're sorry for doing this, but did you know what Tristan was doing to you?" He asks.

"What was he doing?" I ask warily.

"He's been cheating on you for about three months." Dad says.

"And how do I know you're telling the truth?" I push.

"Ellie, believe me, you know that girl that's always with him? Well that's Alyssa, he's been cheating on you with her." Dad says.

"Okay, I'm sorry." I say, hugging him.

"Well me and Mom actually have something to tell you." He says as Mom walks into my bedroom.

"We're getting married!" Mom squeals, showing me her beautiful ring.

"So everything you were doing was a lie?" I ask.

"Yeah, we couldn't tell you about Tristan until we had proof but that meant we had to 'split up', and that's why Dad didn't come to Cancun." Mom says, hugging me.

"Oh it's a good job I love you." I chuckle, cuddling them both.

My Mom and Dad leave the room and I just want to let it all out. I really loved Tristan and Noah but they both didn't seem like they loved me. They got bored of me.

But I went the hospital and my condition has erased so I can eat whenever I want now. Not literally.

"Mom, can Briar come round for a bit?" I ask.

"Yeah, as long as her and Myles aren't doing anything." Mom says.

I ring Briar and about half an hour she's over here. I really like spending time with her because there's only a four year age gap in between us and we're like sisters.

"Hey Ellie." Briar smiles, hugging me.

"Hey Briar." I say as we head upstairs.

"I've missed you guys." I say, hugging her.

"Look, I know what happened but did you have a nice time in Cancun?" Briar asks.

"Yeah I did thanks." I smile.

Around three hours later, Briar has gone back and Brennan has come over for one last time before he goes back to New York.
