He was wondering where the woman had taken him. He looked at her and asked where she had taken him. All she told him was that it was this new home. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the cars clock. It was 9:30 at night. They got out of the car and walked up to the front door and knocked. A couple had opened the door, but it wasn't his family like he expected it to be.

He was kind of excited by this. He was definitely happy that he wasn't going home again. They all stepped inside and went into the living room. They all sat down and began to talk. Since he wasn't in the conversation, he just sat there and looked out the window, as he usually did when he was nervous.

The couple turned to him and asked what his name was. He gladly told them that his name was Cameron and he was 7 years old. They smiled at him and went back to talking to the woman. About an hour later the woman looked at him and said that she had to be going. He looked up at her with a huge smile on his face and told her that he was going to be fine and that he was just tired.

So the couple got up and showed him to his room. He looked around, he had a bed, a window, and a t.v. as well. He climbed up onto the bed and went straight to sleep. The next morning when he woke up, he was hoping to see Hazel sitting in his doorway. But to his disappointment, she wasn't there. The day went on, and he met the mans brother and his brothers son. The two boys got along perfectly and began doing everything together.

It had been almost a year since he had been taken to that home. He had recently turned 8. One day he was in town at the store. As he was walking, he heard some yell out his nickname, Moony. He thought to himself, only one person ever called me that because of my obsession with moons, and she couldn't possibly be here. So he just dismissed it and continued walking. The next thing he knew, he was getting spun around and pulled into a hug. He pulled back a little to see who it was, and to his surprise, it was her, it was Hazel.

He hugged her tight and told her that he thought he would never see her again. She smiled and said the exact same thing. Their parents came over, and asked Hazel who he was. She smiled at them and told them that he was her best friend. They looked at him cautiously and then smiled. She then asked if they could hang out sometime. Her parents didn't see a problem with it, they just needed to talk to his parents.

Hus parents said that they were about to go eat, and Hazels parents said that they would join so they could talk. They got to the restaurant, and ordered their food. Their parents had began talking, so they started talking to each other. She told him about how her mother had divorced her father, and ius getting ready to marry the man that's with her right now. About how she missed waking up and waiting at his door for him too wake up. He told her about how he was taken to a different family a week after she had left, and about how the people he was with weren't his real mother and father. They talked about anything and everything.

A few minutes later, their food came, and they all began to eat. Once again, he noticed her reaching out for his hand. He thought to himself, some things never change. He surprised her by reaching out and grabbing her hand. She smiled a huge smile and continued to eat. Once they were done, their parents looked at them. They said that they live within walking distance of each other. The two smiled with delight. When he got home, he waited for about an hour, and then he walked up to her house. She was there on the porch, waiting for him, clutching the moon that he had made her.

He smiled as he walked up to her and hugged her. They played the whole day. When the time came, he had to go home. She hugged him and told him goodbye. He hugged her back and then went home. That night, he was too awake to go to sleep. After about an hour, he fell asleep, and he was sleeping peacefully.
