Now, its been about five years since Hazel had committed suicide, but that didn't stop him from thinking about her. He never could stop thinking about her. But even the thought of her made him tear up. He never talked to anyone about her. It was just too painful for him. The days passed, but he still thought of her. Wishing her a happy birthday when it came around. When the day she died came around, he was sad for that whole week. For that whole week,no one was able to cheer him up, and no one knew why he was sad.
He still never told anyone. One day during the summer though, one of his closest friends had tried to commit suicide. He eventually talked her out of it, but it just made him think of Hazel. He ended up writing something to help get his mind off of it, but that didn't work. So he asked a friend if he could vent to them, and they said yes. So, he went on about a few things, and then eventually he came to Hazel.
He talked about her for a few minutes, but then had to go and calm down and recollect himself. Later, he messaged his friend what he had wrote, and his friend surprised him. They said that he should turn his time with Hazel into a story. At first he was reluctant, but then he finally decided to go along with it.
He started out BT saying how he had came to the hospital, and ended up with her death. He thought that that was the end of the story, but he just had to write one more part telling about how it had affected him even years after. He dedicated the story to the beautiful little girl, Hazel. Even though she wasn't there physically, he could feel her reading it over his shoulder, and he could tell that she thought it was perfect.
