It has been a few months since they had met up again. They've been getting along greatly. They usually went everywhere together. Their parents didn't mind either. Once again her birthday had come around, and he wanted to get Hazel something special. So his parents took him to the store. He ended up getting a necklace that matched her beautiful green eyes.
As soon as he got home, he ran up to her house. She smiled as she watched him run up to her. When he got there, he told her to close her eyes, and she did so willingly. He then told her to open them, and when she did, she saw the beautiful necklace that he had gotten her. She had the biggest look of surprise on her face. She then went up to him, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and asked if he would put it on her. So he gladly put it on her. From that day on she wore it every day.
About a couple weeks later, he got some bad news. He was getting taken to a new foster home. He got so upset at the thought that he wouldn't be able to see Hazel again, he ran to his room and locked the door. About an hour later he heard a knock on the door. So he got up off of his bed, unlocked it and opened it. To his surprise he saw Hazel sitting there, just like she did at the hospital.
She came into his room and sat down on his bed. They talked for awhile, and she said that her parents knew the people who he was going to be staying with, and that they lived a little bit further down the road. He smiled after hearing this. It was almost 9 at night so she had to go back home.
A few weeks later he was getting ready for the move. She was helping him pack up his things when she came across something. She found the heart that she had given him back when they first had met in the hospital. She looked back at him and smiled, and he smiled right back at her. They continued packing, and had gotten done about an hour later.
Afterwards, Hazel had asked him why he had kept the heart. He just simply said because he wanted to. She smiled like she had something going through her mind. The time finally came for him to leave, so he jumped in the care, waved to her, and left. He thought to himself, she was right, they don't live very far away, I could still ride my bike to her house.
The new family had a nice house, and were very nice. He settled in pretty easily. The days went on, and they were together almost every day. They still went everywhere with each other, and neither one of their parents cared. Then school had finally started up again, but unfortunately they had to go to different schools. They were both pretty upset by this, but they managed to get through it. They were still able to get together on weekends.
His birthday came around, and he didn't really expect anything. But Hazel wanted to get him something special in return for the necklace he had gotten her. She ended up getting him a ring with a spider etched into it. He gladly accepted it and put it on. They hugged and then ate some cake. Months had passed since then, and something had happened to Hazel.
