Shortly after finishing work around 4 pm, Karissa decided to go a nearest library and pick out some books since she loves to read and hasn't done so in quite a long time. She mainly focuses on romance, sometimes history but her two favourite authors that made her want to become a writer hopefully some day would be J.K. Rowling and Nicholas Sparks. Rowling had broadened her imagination with fantasy and wizardry whereas Sparks had made her believe that there is true love waiting for her.
As she walks through the library doors, she couldn't believe how huge the library was and how many books she can choose from. She was so used to have a smaller library back at home but to her this one was even better. She knew she could be here forever if she really wanted to but she knows she only has a short amount of time since the library closes right at 5:30pm. She softly walks up to the librarian who had very thick short grey, curly hair and those glasses that are round and old looking. She dressed like any other grandmother would but seemed to be a very sweet lady.
"Um, excuse me? Where could I find the romance section?" Karissa whispered acting a little shy towards the librarian. "It's on your right towards the very back corner, you will see a sign that says romance my dear." The librarian kindly says with her very sweet voice. "Perfect, thank you very much madame" says Karissa.
Even though it's already 4:30pm, there are still a few people in the library. Some are looking through shelves, some are on their laptops and some are just walking around. As Karissa got to the section that she wanted to go to, she noticed something odd from the corner of her eye, as if though someone is staring at her. She turns to her side and saw a young man covering his face with a hardcover book and having that book maybe too close for his eyes. Karissa didn't think much of it and turned back in her tracks. Then the young man moves his book down slowly enough that his eyes could pop out and see where Karissa was walking. It was needless to say, he may be checking her out...
"Where's Dear John?" She mumbled as she was bending down to find that book. The young man followed her slowly and saw her bending down, checking her back view. "She's got a nice butt" he says to himself. Then he quickly approaches her, startling Karissa when she finally straightened her back up. "Hi, I notice you're finding a book. I can tell you were looking hard" Karissa looked into his soft, brown eyes and was speechless, she couldn't seem to get a word out of her mouth. "H-Hi yeah...yeah I was looking for a specific book I've been wanting to read, do you work here?"
He chuckled quietly and had a grin on his face "Oh no-no, I just happened to notice you might need some help finding a book" The young man was very tall about six feet, very thin, short dirty blonde hair, some brown in it and a very attractive face. He looked to be about Karissa's age. "Oh, where are my manners? My name is Trevor." He extends his hand out to Karissa and she couldn't believe how big his hand and arm was. "My name is Karissa" she says shyly, almost into the blushing point as she shook his hand. He seems to grin more when she blushed and even more redder for him. "I-I'm sorry, I-I'm just really a shy person" she says and soon realizes that she should be careful not only talking to him but making sure her sleeves are still rolled to the palm of her hands. She didn't want to make that impression of him and be some sort of freak.
"Oh, no problem I get shy too myself sometimes" he says, "What book are you looking for? Maybe I can help you" "Oh, I'm looking for one of Nicholas Sparks books that's recent", "Is it Dear John?" He asked smiling. How the hell does he know that? I don't know if I should trust this guy or not but he seems nice..."Yes!" She says, "How on earth did you know I was looking for that particular book?", Trevor laughed and jokingly says "I can read minds you know?" "Oh, really?" Karissa snickered, "You should be a medium or something"
The next thing she knows, she finds her book and got a guy out of it. They talked what would of felt like hours but they exchanged cell numbers and both walked away from each other beaming with pride.
