Brooklyn~
"Come on Jess, you've got it.. just a few strokes!" I shout at Jess while she's free-styling her way through the pool.
She comes up from the pool, pulling herself up from the edge and breaths in... "Oh gosh.."
"No pain, no gain love." I lean by her and give her a towel.
"You think?" She chuckles, drying off.
"You're getting faster, you have to challenge it Jess." I wink at her. "You're even faster than me when I was 16." I laugh.
"That's something that's hard to believe... on the other hand, I've never seen you swim live." She raises her brow. "Only on TV."
I shake my head at her, she was tricking me to get in the pool.
"Jess, I've got practise tomorrow, I have to save my energy. But you know what? Would you like to watch? Carl will let you for sure, he's the best championship coach in Ireland." I nod.
"That'd be a dream come true Booklyn! Thanks a bunch!" She hugs me.
I laugh and lean away from her. "Have a safe trip home, I've got a dinner to get to." I pack up some things into the swimming pool's storage.
"So, what did your boyfriend say when you told him you were looking for his father?" Jess smiles, picking up her bag and walking with me towards the locker-rooms.
"He was out of his mind, blown away... and I got a night of being in his arms." I say.
"And not further." She giggles.
"Oh you..." I laugh and stop the walk. "I'll see you next week Jess, rest up."
"See you later, have a good dinner!" She blows a kiss and walks to her locker.
Tristan~
Brooklyn comes out and I walk over to her, pulling her to my chest, I missed her since I left her this morning for a walk with my father. I didn't want to leave her without a goodbye. But she understands like most would. She was everything, and bringing my father here proves just that.
"Hello beautiful, how's Jessica?"
"Like a shark." She laughs and we walk towards my car.
"That's great, remind me to come by one day and say hey." I kiss her cheek and open the passenger door for her.
She smiles at me and gets in, I rush over to my side and we are off in a 'jiffy' The ride to my father's new apartment wasn't long, as we stopped over at Brook's place for her to get into jeans and a nice shirt before we came here.
I drive into the parking lot area and we go up to his apartment.
"How was this morning?" Brook asks me, linking our hands.
"We went for breakfast near here, drank coffee... only a small amount of course... we talked... loads." I grin..
She smiles sweetly at me and squeezes my hand slightly. "I love it that you're happy, seriously."
I stop our walk and pull her for a good kiss... and then depart and look deeply into her eyes. "I wouldn't have ever seen my father, if you hadn't gone and looked for him. No one has ever cared for me this much to do that, and that is one of the things I love about you Brook." I say.
"And the few others?" She grins.
"After dinner." I wink at her and we continue our path to my father's flat.
We knock at the door and he opens it in a quick fashion. I smile at him and he smiles at us.
"Please come in, come in!" He says, opening the door wider.
We walk in and Brooklyn lets my hand go to look around the flat. "This is a wonderful place Mr. Hunter, seriously wonderful."
"Thanks Brooklyn, and remember, please call me Justin." My father laughs and walks over to her. "And yes, it is a wonderful place to hang about in, isn't it?" He faces me.
"Oh yeah. Super." I say with a grin.
He leads us to the kitchen, and then through to the dining room to plates, and plates of food. Brooklyn was eyeing it with shock, I told her about dinner yesturday and she couldn't believe it, we didn't usually eat, but it doesn't mean we cant per-say.
"This is too much, my gosh.." She gasps, looking at us. "You wont mind this much food?"
"Of course not dear." Father grins, leading her to her seat which was next to me. "It's the pleasure to meet you after all, I've been missing out too much. This much food will give us loads of time." He chuckles.
My father raises his glass of wine and we do the same. "To new beginnings." He toasts.
Brooklyn sips some of her wine. "Hm..." She smiles. "Airen."
I widen my eyes in shock. "I didn't know you knew your wine sweetheart."
My father laughs too. "Yes, from the best part of Spain. It's my best bottle."
I laugh at him. "You brought bottles of wine from back home? I am wondering what mother thought where you were going dad." I say.
"Oh, she thought nothing of it." He clears his throat. "I've not told her where I am or that I left."
Brooklyn gasps and looks at me with uncertainty, I clear my throat and face father.
"You haven't... told her?"
"Nope, I was up and gone when this sweet thing." He glances at Brook. "Called through."
"How did you do that? I mean, she must be worried!" I say.
"Well, I didn't know at first I was staying, I just thought I would come and see Brooklyn and flash back before she came home."
"And you didn't call her yet?" I wonder.
"Of course I have.. but she wasn't available." He rolls his eyes. "By means, I just knew she wouldn't, she's always a busy person, it's her nature."
"Dad.."
"So, Justin, will you be looking around for jobs or...?" Brooklyn says suddenly, stopping the track of the conv.
"Oh yes. That's actually a great idea Brooklyn, I'll get on that, I bet my age wont matter." He winks.
"That's what I've thought just minutes ago." She laughs and looks at me, giving me one of those 'be kind' looks.
"The wine's good.." I murmur.
Brooklyn raises her eyes at me and I put out my tongue at her, what did she expect me to say?
This is going to be a long night....
