Chapter 1

Riley POV

"Thank you" I said grabbing the last box from the moving guy. " No problem young lady" he said before exiting my new apartment door. I put the box in my room and opened it. I felt a tear shed down my eye. In the box was a old picture of me and my ex boyfriend. I loved him. He was my other half. When I was moving I found out he was cheating on me. I must have put that in there before I found out.

* FlashBack *

I was laying on my bed while I got a notification on Instagram. I saw I was tagged in a photo by Tyler , my boyfriend. I clicked on the photo and started to cry. It was a picture of Tyler kissing my bestfriend, heather. The caption said " Great to get Riley the slut out of my life 💕😂.". I looked at his Instagram to see he deleted all the pics of us. I blocked him and deleted all of our pics together from my account and my phone while crying my eyes out. I blocked his number and sent him the middle finger emoji before turning of my phone. I just cried and cried.

* End of Flashback *

I took the photo out and took out my lighter. I burnt the picture over my sink while crying. The ashes fell one by one into it. I went back into my room and started unpacking my bags hoping for this new life to be better.

Alex POV

I heard the door close and the guy walk away from the door. I heard that a new girl was moving into the apartment next to mine. I was hoping she was cute. I baked cookies for her as a welcome to the apartment building gift. I wrapped them on a plate with foil and headed over nextdoor.

I rang her door bell knowing she was home. " Coming " the girl said. Her voice was adorable. The door opened to reveal a cute brown haired girl. She was definetly a girly-girl. " Hello" she said leaning against her door. " Hi, I am your neighbor. I brought you cookies just to say welcome to the apartment building. " I said handing her the plate. She smiled a smile that made my heart stop. " Thank you, I'm Riley by the way " she said putting out her hand. Damn her name was beautiful. I gladly shook it and said " Nice to meet you I'm Alex " I said smiling. We then just stood there in akward silence. " Um... you would like to come in and chat " Riley said breaking the silence. " Sure " I said walking into her apartment.

 I sat on her couch while she sat down in the chair right across from me. " So tell me about your self "  I said leaning back on the couch admiring her body. " Well, I am 18,my birthday is on June 21st, I just moved out of my parents house, I am girly and straight, and I suffer from depression ". That broke my heart. She looked down. " So what about you " she said lifting her head up. " Well lets see, I am 18 ,my birthday is May 18th, I have been leaving her for about 6 months now, I am a tom-boy and gay , and I love to make people happy" I said giving her a slight smile. She smiled back. Her smile made me get butterflies. Damn she was so cute.
