Chapter 8

Alex POV

What sucks about going to work is I don't get to see Riley, but the other reason is cause my ex is there. She always tries to get back with me but I always say no or kick her out of my office. We both work as assistants in a building in the middle of town. We were dating for one year but I loved her. At least I thought I did until I saw her and my boss making out in the break room. We broke up but she says she sorry and she didn't engage it. It didn't matter now though. I had Riles and that's all that mattered.

"Bye Babygirl see you after work " I placed a kiss on Riley's warm lips from my bed. She slept over last night and we didn't fall asleep till 2 hours ago. " Bye" she mumbled before pulling the blanket up to her more. I smiled and walked out of my room and out of my apartment.

I pulled in to my work parking lot to see Piper pulling in also. Piper was my ex. I got out of my car and went to the smoker zone. No I didn't smoke but I vaped. I know it was bad but It relaxs me and it doesn't have a high count of nicotine. " Hey Babe" Piper said walking over to me. " I am not your babe, go kiss my boss" I said putting the vape pen in my mouth letting smoke fall into it. " Oh still not over that, I told you I didn't want to kiss her I was forced " she said rubbing my arm. I blew the smoke out and back up. " Don't touch me" I said before putting my vape pen in my back pocket and going into the building.

Riley POV

I looked at the time and it read 12:38. Alex got off of work today at 1:00. I was going to surprise her at work today. I grabbed my car keys to my Ford Challenger and my phone. I didn't know the directions but I knew where she worked so I had it hooked up in my phone. She was a assistant at the Main Square Building. She was not going to go to college cause she had enough money and a job as a photographer. I on the other hand didn't know what I am going to do.

I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car. I headed down the stairs when I saw someone at the smoking station. Wait..no...two people. Alex and a girl. They were talking then it happened. The girl kissed Alex. Alex didn't push her off. I ran away quickly and hopped in my car. I drove home not wanting to see or talk to Alex. I thought she was different then that.

Alex POV

" Come on Baby, you know you love me " Piper said stepping closer to me. I was vaping again before I headed home to my real love. " No I don't Piper, I love my girlfriend which is not you" I said standing up to go to my car. Before I could leave Piper pushed her lips against me. I was so shocked I didn't push her off. Then I realized what I was doing. I pushed her off and yelled " Go away, I don't love you" I wiped my lips and headed up the stairs to my car to head home.

" Hey Babe" I said walking into my place. No Answer. " baby you here?" I walked into my room for her not to be there. I wanted to see her so I went to her apartment and knocked on the door. No Answer. I knocked again and said " Babe it's me ". I heared footsteps then the door open. I didn't even know what happened. She smacked me. I looked back at her to see her eyes red with tears. " Babe whats..." I started before she said " Don't Babe me, go kiss your other girlfriend". Then I remembered what Piper did. " You were there?" I asked. " Yeah, I came to surprise you but I saw you cheating " a couple more tears rolled down her cheeks. "Did you stay when I pushed her off? Did you see when I yelled at her? Babe, she is my ex that cheated on me. She was talking to me and as I was leaving to come home to you she kissed me. Trust me I don't love her" I said quickly hoping she would forgive me. She looked at me and cried alittle bit more. " I am sorry " she hugged me. I knew then she forgave me. " You don't have to be sorry, you just needed the whole story " I placed a kiss on her forehead. " Let's get ice on that" She touch my face which really hurt. I agreed and we went into her apartment.
