Things Band Kids Just Know

1. Practice time = pretend to be practicing.

2. Band director = God^3.

3. You will develop an emotional attachment to your instrument. And name it.

4. After a while, letters past G no longer matter.

5. It's not a hashtag, it's a sharp. 

6. The trumpets will either play so loudly you want to die, or they will play so quietly you forget that your band has trumpets. There is no in between.

7. There are some normal kids and there are some "special snowflakes." This term is only relative, because to people outside the band, we're all the "special snowflakes."

8. When sight reading, if the title of the song is something foreign, there's a 99.7% chance you're going to die.

9. There are going to be days where the only interesting thing that happened was band. There will never be days when band was the only boring thing.

10. The people in band are your friends. Even if you don't like them.
