Chapter One-Part Four

   Yoon Mi could not contain her excitement. Being so close to her idol was indeed a dream come true. Standing next to her in the lift, she could feel the cool, charismatic and confident aura emitting from the great Dr Kang. However, she also couldn't dismiss a strange feeling from the doctor. Her face showed it all-it had the mix of a little dose of anxiety and a pinch of worry. Dr Kang was alright moments ago, but the after some time, her expression changed. It was as if she became uneasy over something.

   Why do I feel that she's not liking my presence? Did I intruded into her space?

   She wanted to ask, but in a nearly crowded lift, her questions would definitely serve to ignite unnecessary attention. Plus, she couldn't cover the awkward feeling inside her because for some weird reason, everyone in the lift was looking at the two of them with immense curiosity clearly highlighted on their faces. So she kept quiet and pondered internally, wondering at the same time why the journey to the floor they were supposed to go was taking such a long time.

   They reached their destination eventually, and they got out of the elevator. It was the floor where patients are warded. It was wide and spacious, but unlike the department she had been to earlier, the floor was quieter and apparently less hectic. There were quite a number of people in the department though, but they were mostly visitors-families, friends and relatives, Yoon Mi assumed, who were here to visit their loved ones.

   Yoon Mi didn't know why, but she felt a nostalgic feeling running through her veins as the two ladies walked towards the counter. Maybe it was due to the unfamiliarity with the place, she thought, but deep inside her heart, she knew it was something else. Whether it was a positive sign or not, she couldn't figure it out, but she followed her sunbae anyways.

   They approached the counter and a young nurse greeted them. Yoon Mi noticed that the nurse was of the same height as the two of them.

   "Annyeong hashimnikka, Kang-sonsaeng." The nurse greeted cheerfully.

   "Annyeonghaseyo, In Ha." Dr Kang replied with a smile. Immediately, Yoon Mi was mesmerised by her sunbae's beautiful smile. It was way better than what she saw on television.

   "How can I help you?" The nurse asked.

   "Oh, I am looking fo-"

   "Kang-sem!" Someone called her suddenly.

   Yoon Mi along with the two ladies turned to the direction of the sound. She saw a nurse, who had brown hair down to her shoulders and looked way younger than Dr Kang, approaching them with a smile. She was clutching a file tightly in a way that resembled a high school teenage student.

   "Oh, Min Ji!" Dr Kang replied.

   "Looking for a patient?" Min Ji asked as she placed the file on the counter.

   "Ne, and Dr Lee too. Do you know where he is? He paged me but he didn't tell me where to find him."

   "Ah, that Dr Lee! He's always like this! Paging without telling anyone where he is!" The nurse with ponytail hair said with an agitated voice. From the way she spoke, Yoon Mi figured that this Dr Lee might have done that for a few times already.

   "Oh, he's in Room 531. I saw him entering some time ago." Min Ji remembered, pointing her thumb towards her back.

   "Oh great. Gomawoyo." Dr Kang expressed.

   "Geunde, who's that beautiful lady beside you?" The nurse in the counter questioned, throwing a weird look at the lady beside Dr Kang.

   Min Ji tilted her head slightly and realised what In Ha was talking about. "Oh, that's right. Who is she, Kang-sem?"
