"I can't change the world, but as long as I can change one person's life, it would mean the world to that person."
(Kang Mo Yeon)
Uruk Capital Hospital
Present time
The next day
"So that's what happened?" Mo Yeon asked with furrowed eyes to Si Jin, finding it a little bit difficult to digest them all in one go. She was already fully awake by then and was transferred to the normal ward as her condition got better. "You used me, to catch him?" She exhaled in disbelief. "Then why did you bother telling me? You shouldn't have done that."Si Jin held her hand, while looking straight into her eyes with a feeling of regret. It was his decision to tell her everything, so that there would be no misunderstanding in the future. If she were to get mad about his plan, it's best if she got angry now then never. Besides, this was his own department store, so he can actually decide whether he should or should not disclose this mission to her. "Mianhaeyo, Mo Yeon-ah. I had to do this. That's the only way to save you."
"But still...you used me. I can't believe you did that, after all this time..." Mo Yeon responded in a rather disappointed tone. That was expected from her. No one person was willing to be used by somebody else for the sake of his or her own good. Strangely, there was no hate or anger inside Mo Yeon. It didn't fluster like what she normally used to everytime she received rubbish medical reports back home. Although she tried hard to look angry or agitated, her emotions seemed to have set itself to a more relaxed mode, refusing to show the inner devil as if it was totally contained in a box. She noted Si Jin's regretful eyes.
Using her might be bad, but when she viewed it in a different perspective, she would have agreed that this was the best option. If Si Jin were to act recklessly and save her from the start, Sun Yang would have taken note of the sudden change, and would eventually try to eliminate her because she had become a liability. She had known way too much, even though her job was simple. The leak of information would deter Sun Yang's plans and Mo Yeon knew well enough from the vicious encounter that he never played nice to traitors. Mo Yeon realised that there was no point arguing with Si Jin, since what was done had already been done, and the fact that she had survived the most terrible ordeal in her entire life overruled everything else.
It would be wise to just forgive him and let it slide, since in the end of the day, he saved her. Plus, she had agreed to his proposal. She had to be more understanding in the future. Finally, she let out a soft smile. "Fine..." She playfully patted his head as if he was a baby boy, "...I forgive you. Not because of you, but for us." She said lovingly.
Her quick change of mind seemed to have surprised Si Jin, who had already expected a stern reprimand from his girlfriend. Her anger, sometimes, was way more violent than a volcano albeit a silent one. For her to forgive probably his worst sin was a complete turnaround, and it was evident in his expression when his eyes went wide. "Jinjja?" He asked. "You forgive me?"
