I'm outside with Mr Malcom. He assured me that no one is here to bring me back to the room, but I can't shake the feeling that someone is watching me.

"Now, if you are going to save they world, you need to fly. And eventually unlock your magic ability. Oh, and of course, earn your wings. Let me demonstrate."

Mr Malcom seems too feeble to fly, but his wings carry him into the air. Its a little strange seeing him just floating there.

"Now you try!"

I nod my head and close my eyes. I stand there for quite some time, trying to figure out how to move my wings. I feel useless. I'm supposed to save the fairy world, and I can't even fly. Pathetic.

"You need to focus! It comes naturally after a while, but it can be hard at first. Think about the ocean. Close your eyes, it bests up and down, just like wings!"

I close my eyes. I lift off the ground, its an amazing feeling. But I can't go any higher, something is holding on to me. I look down, and I'm horrified to discover it is Kim, with her wicked smile.

I stare in horror as she grabs my other leg and pulls me down so easily, its as if I'm a balloon.

Blame me for anything, for being stupid. But the only thing that I could do was scream.

Now I'm at the beach. Mr Malcom said that Kim can't follow me here, but he seemed uncertain about that.

Apparently I had screamed and fell. No one saw Kim. No one saw her smile. It's a wonder why she has beautiful blue and pink wings rather than bats wings. Maybe she is just a fragment of my imagination.

We are standing, looking out to sea. The water is so blue and beautiful, it never ends. It stretches out to the horizon. The waves crash down, ticking my toes.

We are here because it will help me visulise the beat. Up and down. Mr Malcom also said that mermiads will be here, and I might just see one. He said that we had to go into the water to see one, but I can't, I don't feel safe. It doesn't feel right. But he doesn't care. He is strolling around in the water, it is up to his shoulders, he is way out. I watch from afar as he splashes around like a 2 year old.

"Come on Alice! Its so war- AGHHH!" Suddenly he is gone. He has been swallowed by the waves, he is gone! I yell for help, but I realize that I am the only one on the shore.

So I close my eyes and relax. I steady my breathing and focus. Breathe. Up and down, up, down, up down...

And suddenly I'm off the ground. I feel so accomplished, but there is no time for celebrating. I soar out to the waves and look frantically in the cool clear water. Uneasiness becomes absolute fear. She is there, and there is no sign of Mr Malcom.
