Our Song [Danny x Reader]

Chapter 7

After he kissed you, he got up and left.
You just sat there, not moving, not breathing. Scared if you move, the feeling you have will disappear.
(R/N) ran into the room, "Danny just got here.... Why do you look scared?" She said, finally noticing your expression.
"H-He kissed me..." You said, finally moving. She walked over to you and grabbed your hand.
"It's time, (Y/N). Conquer your fear." She said, looking you in the eye. "But.... I don't want to lose you too..."

The reason you were scared of growing close to anybody was because you were scared of being completely alone.
When you were a child, all you really knew were hospital walls. (R/N) would visit you and give you your school work and teach you what you missed. And when you returned to school, all your friends had forgotten you. You became a ghost to even the teachers.
But back then, you still had your parents too. That's where your next big fear was. You were scared of being pregnant or giving birth. Your mother died right in front of your eyes giving birth to your younger brother.
Your dad had only died a year earlier due to a car accident.
You were scared you would lose your closet friend to two of your fears, leaving you alone.

"(Y/N), I'll live. I'll never forget you." She said, glancing at the doorway. You followed her gaze, but found nothing. She smiled and turned back to you, "He cares, (Y/N). If, and I said if, I do go, he'll be there."
You knew who she was talking about. You knew clearly, she was talking about Danny.
You looked at the heart monitor that was hooked up to you. "I know my life is shorter than a normal person, but I want to live it to the fullest."
She hugged you and walked out of the room. You looked at the IVs hooked to you, and you went to sleep.

.:Dan:.
I listened to their conversation in the doorway, till I saw (R/N) looking at me. I quickly hid from her sight, but still in range to hear.
After a little longer, (R/N) walked out and faced me.
"We need to talk, and if you truly love her, you'd want to pay attention." She said, walking to a nearby seat.
Sitting next to her, she faced me.
"(Y/N) is... Special. She was told as a child she'd never make it to age 25, yet here she is, turning 25 in a few months. She has 3 major fears, being close to people, pregnancy or birth, and being alone.
The first fear came along when we were kids. She'd be in the hospital for months, and because of that, people began to forget about her. The second fear, her mother died giving birth to Nathan, her younger brother. The third fear came around when both of her parents died and Nathan went to live with their grandparents, who left (Y/N) to live by herself." (R/N) explained. I just soaked the info in, while I looked into her room and watched her sleep.
"Please Danny, if you do love her, don't ever leave her. I will have to be gone for long periods of time, and I won't be around if her heart fails, again." She hesitantly added the again.
My head snapped around to (R/N). "Again...? Her heart had failed before?" I asked, looking over at the sleeping (Y/N).
"Yeah, I wasn't around, but Nathan was. He was visiting her, when she suddenly collapsed." (R/N) added.

After talking a bit longer with (R/N), I went back into the room. (Y/N) looked so peaceful, so beautiful. It was hard to imagine, at any second now, she could die.
I sat beside her and placed my head on her hand, and closed my eyes. Ignoring the call from Arin.
