I couldn't believe these people were related to the sweet (Y/N). I was sitting in the basement, trying to keep off my wounds. (Y/N), for some reason, was always in worse shape than me.
To be honest, I can't believe (Y/N) hid this from us. Though, it truthfully probably was for the best.
While we sat down here, we talked about our stupid actions we did when we were in our early 20's or even our teen years. (Y/N) had just told me that she knows how to still shoot a gun. "Seriously!? That's so cool." I told her and she smiled. "Thanks, I guess?"
We continued to talk until her sister entered the room with a little girl. She reminded me of Marie.
"Mama, what are we doing here?" She asked Katie. "We're visiting your aunt." Katie told the little girl. "But, we were told not to!" The little girl said, looking at her Mother worried. "It's okay, Carrie, they won't know unless you tell them. You won't, will you?"
"No, Mama.." She said looking at us. Carrie walked over to (Y/N) and gently crawled into her lap. "Are you Auntie?" She asked her, looking at her face. "Yeah. I'm your aunt. Nice to meet you, Carrie!" (Y/N) told her, giving her a smile. Carrie then smiled and looked at me.
"Who's that?" She asked pointing. Then before (Y/N) or I could answer, she gasped. "Is he your hubby?"
(Y/N) blushed then laughed, and my face went red. "U-Uh, I'm not her hubby... I'm her boyfriend." I told Carrie. She giggled, "What's the difference?"
"Now now, Carrie, give the couple some space. Speaking of which, did you bring them 'that'?" Katie asked Carrie. Carrie nodded and took out a necklace. She put it on (Y/N) then crawled over to me. When she got situated, she pulled out a matching necklace and put it on me.
"There! Now you two are bonded forever! Or so Mama says!" Carrie said giggling. (Y/N) held the pendant up and smiled. "It's beautiful Carrie, thank you."
I smiled at (Y/N) and stood up, wincing at the pain a bit. "Four weeks? Damn Arin is slow..." I said, stretching.
"We can let you two out when Papa isn't home. But only around the house or in the backyard. That way, nobody sees you two out." Katie explained, picking Carrie up.
"He leaves frequently to do something illegal, so you two can come out a lot." She added on, playing with her daughter's hair.
"That's good, I think?" (Y/N) said as I helped her up. "For you, and not the people who Papa goes to." Katie said, smiling at her sister.
I looked at them and noticed where (Y/N) got her kindness. I misjudged them, only the father is bad. The other two are just trying to survive.
I then wondered why Arin decided to take his sweet time to get us.
