#97 Foster Homes (part one)

She walked into the house, her body tensing up. A cut sliced across her lip. 

"So, this is your new home" The woman smiled "At least for awhile- you can make yourself feel at home, i'll show you to your room in a few moments." She nodded, "You can call me Alana" Her hair was a dark brown and her skin was a lighter brown. 

She was the woman who had picked her up from the care home, she assumed she'd be her only foster mother- but she was wrong when another one walked out from one of the rooms. 

"hello" She smiled kindly, her hair was a bright blonde and her skin was a pale white- her eyes were noticeably aqua blue. "My name is Susan, im your other foster mother"

She raised an eyebrow, staring at the two. "so- you two areee...."

"Yes we're married" Alana smiled, reaching over and grabbing Susans hand. 

"Oh- nice" She nodded, looking down. 

"And you have to foster siblings, Ones your age and the others only 10- but they were our foster kids 7 years ago then we adopted them 5 years ago" She smiled. "Ava!! Thomas!!" Alana called the kids down. 

A little girl with brown hair down to her stomach ran down the stairs- she looked at the new girl with a strange expression then smiled. 

"Ava, this is Mia- shes your new foster sister" Susan stated, smiling. 

"oh okay" She nodded. "Hello" She waved smiling. "Its really nice here- most days anyways" She shrugged, then happily walked to the fridge and opened it- pulling out some orange juice.

"Thomas get down here!!!" Susan yelled loudly- since he hadnt responded the first time. 

an older boy ran downstairs, groaning. "What do you wa-" as soon as he saw Mia his mouth was shut. "Uhm, whos this?" He looked at Mia with a sparkle in his dark eyes. He had sandy blonde hair and his figure was very skrawny- his eyes were a dark chocolate brown.

"This is Mia, shes our new foster" Susan nodded, "be polite"

"uh huh" He nodded, "Hi, i'm Thomas" he nodded- looking down and breaking their eye contact.

Thoughts roamed Mia's head instantly. thoughts like OO hes cute, I wonder where hes from, i look horrible right now, he probably thinks im just a weird foster kid.

"uh im Mia" She nodded, gulping back all her thoughts and keeping her head to herself.

"Anyways, thats all. Uh Mia i'll show you to your room" Susan nodded, smiling and walking upstairs. "Follow me"

Mia did as she said and she followed, she walked upstairs behind Susan and looked around, examining the house.

Family pictures were strung up on the walls of the stair case. Pictures of past foster kids, parents of Alana and Susan.. and Thomas and Ava.

She showed her to her room and stood at the doorway.

"This is your new home."
