There i was

With him

In the night breeze

Nothing in the sky except

Millions of glowing stars

A beautiful sight

That only one of us

Could really appreciate

See, he is different

He has never seen

A night sky

He has never seen

A glorious sunset

He cant see the beauty

Of the world around him

For his eyes

Dont see like mine

But he is lucky

He sees

What is challenging to see

For us,

We are lost

In all the colors and lights

Its like we see through

A heavy fog

But for him,

There are no distractions

No lights or colors

He can see

More than I

He can see

What is real

Not the fake blankets

Covering the persons self

No,

He only knows people

By who they are

By their inner beauty

And for us to be sitting here

Under this wonderous night

To my eyes,

He tells me

He sees the most beautiful thing

In the world.

He has never seen

My face or body

He only knows of who i am

And for him to say

That is beautiful

That i am beautiful

That is the best thing

I can ever hear.

And with that

He reaches for my hand

Stroking the feel

Of my knuckles

All he grasps of my outer shell

And gives me genuine smile

While he asks me

To stay beautiful with him

Forever.
