Worthless - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

The sun poured into my room as I sat in front of the mirror just finishing my makeup and stared at the reflection , who did I think I was trying to look pretty when no'one notices me anymore;Its been 2 years since both of my parents died in a car crash and all I have left is my step-brother lucas , he's 2 months older than me and I'm 17 , he's a very nice guy to be around escpecially after everything that's happened. He suddenly walked into the room and smiled.

"Come on taylor we're going to be late "

Nodding I grabbed my bag and walked out , here goes nothing...

Lucas parked outside the school as usual , he looked over at me worried and I noticed

"What?

"Are you sure your okay? because you know you could just stay home" his voice was sad and pityfull but as much as I wanted to stay home and have peace and quiet , still its not just about being here for friends its about education and for definate I want a life for once again.

"Fine" was all I said before getting out the car

*Lucas P.O.V *

My heart went out to her , her friends were pretending they never laid eyes on her and everyone had just pretended she was never there, invisible . From now on I will always be there for her , doesent matter about  those snobbish kids because they were always stuck up who wanted to do what they like , when they like . Getting out the car aswell I followed her into the school watching everyone warily If I had a choice to punch some sense into people I would. She turned to me with a sad expression.

"I better get to class , already late.."  With that she dissapeared down the hall . Suddenly Sam came up breathless.

"hey man , have you seen Kelsey because she just run away from me " he said

"Sorry , just got here " I sighed , his eyes held guilt as they shimmered in the light  "How are you?"

"Just worried , my sister is just having a bad time since..you know"  my head lowered

"She'll be fine , I remember us as young teens , us two together , we were freinds for ages for at least 3 years "

I didn't think I wanted to know his love/ friend situation with my step -sister .

"Okaaay , change subject? because I really don't wanna know where this is leading right now" I said disgustedly  but his lips held a smirk

"Oh come on  you hardly even bothered with that family then! "

"I'm seriously not going to talk to you again if your just going to talk about your sex life with my step-sister"

"Just because you haven't lost yours" he said nudging my rib hard and winked childishly so I walked off quickly to class , geez no wonder taylor felt awkward around him.

*Taylor's P.O.V *

Sitting down in English class the teacher babbled on about Romeo and Juliet play which bored me very much because I already knew everything about it, would this teacher just give the book a rest and start talking about something I didn't know?  Suddenly Sam came rushing in apologizing to miss then sat down at the desk next to mine not looking at me even though he knew I was staring , wow how much I realised I missed him, Lucas thought I was just being awquard after we drifted apart from being extremely close friends , and quickly my  heart started to ache ...badly. His eyes finally turned to face me but they held no emotion, probably because he had a girlfriend and no longer had feelings for me, which made tears slowly form and fall down my face . I realised I couldn’t take it no longer, grabbing my bag and running out . Children took one glance but looked away as I run down the corridor as my vision was blurred, but Lucas saw me and sprinted over.

" What happened?!" he cried

"I can't take this anymore! the people ignoring me and now sam!-"  before any other words could come out he grabbed me in a hug.

"I knew you shoulden't of come to school today , come on let's take you home " his arm went around my waist as we walked out the building.
