he didn't answer her, instead walked away and out the door without giving her a second glance. he did love her, but he didn't understand love, and didn't know how to express it properly.

he was okay, in the beginning. nice, lovely, kind, enough for her to fall for him. then he changed. or maybe he was that way all along, hiding behind a fake mask. but she would never know.

when she heard a phone ringing from the kitchen, she realised that he left her phone on the bench. it rang for a total of ten seconds before she sprinted to the other room and picked it up, placing it to her ear.
