MAYA'S POV

The weather took a drastic turn. The sky was a cloudy grey and rain poured down, hammering against the metal of Robyn's car. I was in a shitty mood this morning and if possible the weather only made it worse. Maybe it was my hormones, but I was tired of looking at Robyn's face this morning and she hadn't done anything wrong.

"What the fuck is wrong with you now, man?"

"You're talking. And I didn't ask for that."

"It's not even eight in the morning and I'm ready to toss you."

I flipped her off and glared at her. "And you're still talking."

She rolled her eyes and leaned across the middle console, propping her elbow up. "Gimme a kiss baby. You acting mad grumpy and you're getting on my nerves."

I met her halfway and planted a kiss on her lips. She held the back of my neck, forcing me to kiss her longer and ran her tongue along my bottom lip, tugging at it softly before she pulled away.

"I'm on my period," I blurted. "I started this morning."

"No wonder you're acting so damn crazy. You want Tylenol or something? Is it your cramps making you act like an asshole?"

"No, I'm just tired of looking at you."

"No you're not. I'm cute as fuck."

"Whatever."

"I'm just gonna ignore your bad ass attitude and continue to love your cute ass. I love you, grumpy."

"I love you too."

She smiled at me, but it quickly fell when the bell rung, signaling the start of passing period. She had somehow gotten me to agree to come with her to first period again. I swear she made me do crazy things. I rarely gave up sleep for anyone. She reached into the back seat of her car and grabbed an umbrella. "Wait here, baby."

She opened up her door, opening up the umbrella and hurriedly closed her door, coming over to my side of the car. She opened the passenger side door and I stepped out, wrapping an arm around her waist. She held the umbrella over the both of us and tugged me in the direction of the school's gates as the rain hit against the water repellant material.

As we walked toward her pre-calc class she rested her arm over my shoulder, pressing a kiss to the side of my head. Our shoes slapped against the wet pavement, making a nasty squelching sound.

I sighed in relief once we stepped into the dry, heated room. The class was already almost filled. I reluctantly separated from Robyn and sat in the back while she sat in her assigned seat. As soon as the teacher started talking I folded my arms on my desk and laid on them, slowly tuning out everything and falling back to sleep.

I stirred when someone tapped on me, but didn't sit up. I tried my best to ignore whoever was disturbing me, hoping they would stop, but of course they didn't. If this was Rihanna I would not hesitate to sock her in front of the whole class. I was in a bad mood and she knew that. I groaned and sat up, ready to bite her head off.

An unfamiliar boy looked up at me sending me a friendly smile. He was cute enough. His dark brown hair was flipped up and he looked like he belonged on a Hollister billboard. The wrath I was going to unleash faded and was replaced with my usual easy-going demeanor. "Hi."

"Hi," he smiled shyly, cupping the back of his neck nervously.

I waited patiently for him to get out what he was trying to say, cocking my head and smiled at the nervous pink blush that had settled on his cheeks.
