10- Friends of friends

Davina joins the table and continues with the unwanted morning goss she was telling me before.

"Okay news guys! There's a new girl her name is Tracey Bateman, she's a total slut!" Davina starts explaining.

Samuel scoffs and mutters under his breath "Says the queen slut"

Davina throws Samuel a dirty look, obviously unknowing towards what he said under his breath.

She continues to speak "Yeah and like, all the guys love her! She's not even that pretty! I heard she's like half African American and half Jamaican or something! I also checked her facebook and I found out she's a scorpio." Davina finishes off with a smile as if she just gave us the most amazing piece of information ever.

We all look at each other confused as to why that girl honestly cares about other peoples lives. But then we remember... It's Davina.

Jaden suddenly appears behind Davina holding a protein shake. Hmm..another gym junkie like River.

"Ooh! Hey I want you guys to all meet my new friend Jaden, he is new here so him and his friend Zac will be sitting with us from now on" Davina says in a babyish tone. Jaden greets all my friends and they seem to unfortunately take a liking towards him. NO I do not want him or his annoying side kick to hang out with us.

"I'm going to the library" I say bluntly, getting up from the table.

There won't be enough seats for us on this cafeteria table. There's 7 of us and there's only 6 seats. And knowing Davina she would've kicked either me or Heather off the table to let her new friends sit down anyway.

So basically I just prevented her from kicking off Heather, I don't want her to have to be apart from Josh. If there's one thing I really care about in school, it's making sure that those two end up together.

"Why?" Ask Heather, Samuel and Jaden-to my surprise- all together.

"I've got homework to finish" that's probably the worst lie I've ever told.

"Athena you never do homework" Josh states.

"And by never he means you'd rather throw pizza in the trash than do homework" Samuel adds in.

Everyone nods in agreement.

Hmm I don't know about the pizza thing. I mean... pizza is my life.

before I can respond Davina's high pitched voice is heard "Well I think you should go library Athena, I mean it's time you start getting more focused on schoolwork, we are seniors now"

Okay, Davina never EVER does anything intelligent in her life, let alone homework! She's always sneaking out, sleeping with guys and drinking in her spare time. Yet here she is, telling me to focus?

Selfish needs. She's only saying that because that way she doesn't have to kick anyone off and look like the bad guy in front of Jaden.

I commend her for her swiftness.

"See guys? Davina gets me" I say taking her side anyway. She is still my friend nevertheless.

Everyone looks at me questioningly, before I leave the cafeteria and head anywhere but the library.

I'm not angry or anything. It's just that I'd rather be alone than sit with Satan's son - Zac - and having to witness Davina's fake methods to seduce Jaden and vice versa.
