Chapter 22

Whitestar and the other leaders were all gathered at the heart of the forest. Onestar started to look worried until Blackflight gave him a nod. "Alright this has gone on long enough, it is time we attack these beasts!" He declared to the four clans.
"But where is the patrol that went for Brightstipe?!" A warrior yowled.
"We have just sent out a search party for them now!" Whitestar replied.
"Why did you send another search party?!"
"They could be killed!"
"We are only loosing more Warriors!"
"What if the wolves got them?!" Shrieked an apprentice.
Whitestar felt bad for Onestar, who started to look worried. Suddenly the second patrol bounded in on the gathering... With Lizardstep. Liontail gasped. "Lizardstep!"
"I know where they are! But we need everyone's help!" He yowled.
"Where are they?" Hazelheart asked. "Twoleg place alley."
"Alright let's go!" Whitestar meowed. Lizardstripe led the way. They all bounded across the Thunderpath. They reached the place. The fight had already begun. A tom who was guarding the entrance tried to stop them. "Hey! What are you-" he was shoved aside as they passed. "Remember your objective!" Crimsonstar yowled. Slatetooth and Sneakingfoot tag teamed a scrawny looking cat.
The herd of Warriors walked in. Brightstipe was fighting Brio and a large tom. The tom was just sitting there as Brio protected him. Blackrabbit had a small cat pinned down.
Spikeflash and Ottertail both attacked a silver looking tom.
Brio looked at the Warriors and growled looking at the relaxed tom. "Let's go." The tom mewed standing up.
The four clans were fighting the stray cats. Most of the strays fighting fled. Deep Blue was racing around. "Ella?! Ella!" She called.
Ella ran up to Deep Blue. "Mommy! Mommy!"
Deep blue grabbed her scruff and tried to leave but was knocked aside by the large tom Brio was protecting. "What are you doing?!" Brio shouted. "Something worth fighting for." He grabbed Ella and raced away. Brio stood horrified. Deep Blue yowled. "Ella no!" She screeched but was to late. The tom was gone in the midst of battle.
"Follow that cat!" Lillytail yowled and she, Badgerstalk, Elmpoppy, Smallstep, and Rainfrost pelted after the cat. Darkshadow followed behind as well as Hawkleaf, Redflame, and Ravenwing. Ella screeched. "Help me!"
Smallstep leaped onto the tom's back. "Let go of that kit!" He demanded, batting hard at his ear.
Ravenwing clawed at his flank. The tom's teeth where close to breaking the skin of the kit.
Badgerstalk clawed him across his face. Hearing him scream out. He dropped the kit who hit the ground with a thud. Rainfrost quickly grabbed her by the scruff and lead her to Dawnreed and Feralstorm alongside Lillytail and Darkshadow.
The kit was crying. "Is my mom ok?" She whimpered.
"Ella!" Deep Blue yowled shoving past the warriors and to her kit.
"We have to get out of here!" Dawnreed hissed.
"Momma!" The kit raced to her. She looked at Dawnreed. "Can we come with you..?"
"You don't even need to ask," Meowed a voice. Whitestar padded up. "No way are you two staying here in this StarCln forsaken place." She snorted.
"Settled then. Let's go." Fearalstorm meowed.
Ella smiled and stayed close to her mother.
The warriors fighting the tom stopped until he was fully down and pelted by their clanmates.
"Fall back!" Foxstar yowled.
"Keep together!" Crimsonstar added. All of the Warriors started back towards their shared camp. Brightstipe ran with Silverwing.
Goldenpaw's eyes gleamed. "Brightstripe!" She meowed happily. Brightstripe smiled.
"I'm glad to be back." The ginger tabby purred.
"We thought you were gone forever.." Goldenpaw mewed.
"As did I."
Silverwing nuzzled Brightstripe. Brightstipe purred and the clans celebrated.
"We can't thank you enough for aiding us in this..." Silverwing announced to the four clans.
"While the wolves are out we all stick together." Onestar yowled.
"We know our enemy!" Crimsonstar declared.
"And it's not each other!" Foxstar finished.
"Hear your leaders, our warriors, this day is the day, where we may face loss, injury, and our greatest fears, but we are warriors! And we will fight these wolves!" Whitestar added.
The four clans yowled a caterwaul of battle cries.
Suddenly, the moon showed itself and a howling sounded. Everyone turned their heads.
