David walked into the house with a frown. Him and Britney were fighting again and it was his fault. He was the one that didn't stop drinking when she said. He was the one that started shouting at her when she took the full glass away from him.
He sighed as he put his legs up on the dark grey sofa. His head was still pounding from his morning hangover. Slowly, he got up, picking up the plastic bag that was carrying the jar of coffee he bought.
He heard the front door opening and rushed to it, hoping it was Brittney. "Brittney?"
"No, sorry. It's just Will." William stared at his best friend. He had dark circles under his eyes and his eyes were all red. "You look like hell."
"I know. So what you doing here anyways?" David looked back at William.
"Britney came over to my house. Pissed as fucking hell she was." William rubbed the bruise on his arm where she pinched and winced. David watched his friend and managed to give a small smile.
"She pinch the hell outta you didn't she." It wasn't a question. David sighed and looked out the window into the heavy rain. "What am I gonna do man?" He stood up and started to pace. He kicked the edge of the sofa in frustration and said, "If only I put down that damn glass. If only I fucking listened to her! Then I wouldn't be here. Then she wouldn't hate me." He sat down again. He rubbed his hands over his face, breathing out heavily. "If only I put that one glass down," he whispered to himself.
David looked at his friend with wide eyes. "I lost her. I lost her, Will." William tried to say something but David continued. "I lost the one girl I love," he whispered to himself.
Brittney and Juliet stood at the doorway, listening to David's confession. Juliet looked over at Brittney and smiled.
"Told you he loves you." David and William turned around and looked at them. "Whoops, guess I was kinda loud," she laughed nervously.
David looked down at the floor, embarrassed that Brittney heard him. He looked back up and saw her staring at him. "I'm sorry Brittney." He slowly approached her. "I am so sorry. I swear I will never touch another drink again." Hesitantly, he touched her hand and when she didn't flinch, he continued, "I swear to you, Brit, I won't touch another drink if it makes you mad. I'm sorry for lashing out on you." Brittney stroked his cheek.
"I love you too." She softly whispered. She brought her face closer to him and gave him a soft peck. "I love you David, even your stupid drinking problems." She smiled at him and laughed when she saw his eyes wide open.
"You're not lying are you? 'Cus if you are, it's not funny."
"I'm serious David. I love you. I seriously love you."
Juliet and William slowly walked out the door, closing it silently behind them.
"Well that went well." William grinned at her as he saw her skipping down the drive way. She stopped at her car and turned around, waiting for him to open the door. He stopped two feet away from her and smiled at her. "Aww, come on Liam. Open the door; it's freezing." He continued to smile at her.
"I love you." She frowned at him and walked up to him.
"Really?" She glared at him. "Really, Liam? It's freezing cold and you are just standing there-" William placed his lips over and she pushed him away. "No! Open the door first," Juliet ordered.
