Auras

Other than sensing and feeling other people's emotions, SHE was able to see different colors surrounding their bodies. It took many years to understand that SHE was seeing their auras and that a person could have one or many and they could tell whether the person's soul was pure or not. There wasn't a particular catalyst of when SHE first noticed these colors surrounding people but SHE was instantly fascinated by what they meant. By this time, books and TV programs were available with explanations on these outward appearances of the soul.

The lighter colors always were seen as a positive aspect while anything dark like and especially black and grey were considered negative. Sometimes SHE would see the person for who they were before SHE saw their aura color. The most telling came when SHE and her mother were on a cruise and SHE befriended a woman named Lisa that was older and on vacation with her own mom as well. They got on well and the other woman was also just like SHE, a social butterfly who made friends quick. That is how they met an older couple on the cruise and one evening the three of them set upstairs in the jazz lounge just chatting.

SHE doesn't remember how the topic turned to the paranormal but the oldest of the three started talking about how she was a born again Christian. About how her religion was very important and was all but ramming her born again status down the throats of the other two women who shifted uncomfortably in their seats. It was then that SHE saw something interesting; the elder woman's aura came out of her and surrounded her entire being. The colors were impossible to ignore for they were a dark crimson and black.

But how could that be? This was a woman of religion, who spoke so fervently about G-d and so forth and yet the aura doesn't lie. It was evil, the woman was evil. Next as they continued to talk, the woman was still speaking about what she believed in but not in a positive enlightened way.

"There aren't such things as ghosts. If someone sees ghosts, those are the devil's handiwork." The woman declared as the other two looked at each other.

"What about angels? All spirits aren't spawns of the devil." SHE protested.

"Yes they are! When we die, we join Jesus in heaven and that's that! Angels don't come down from heaven. I'm a born again Christian, I know!" The woman's eyes narrowed.

They continued to speak on the topic until the subject of skulls and Ouija boards were brought up. By this time SHE had had enough of the woman's evil superiority complex. Everyone was entitled to believe what they wanted but being it your way or the highway wasn't going to fly.

"If you like skulls, you are associated with the devil." The woman declared again.

"I wouldn't go that far, I like skulls and skeletons and I have clothes with skulls on them; that doesn't mean that I am associated with the devil. I am a child of G-d but I like what I like and that's that." SHE said looking the woman dead in the eye.

"Does that mean you see ghosts too and play with that Ouija board where only evil comes through?" The woman looked at her sarcastically.

"As a matter of fact, I do. I was born gifted not cursed. I have a Ouija board at home that I use as needed to get rid of unwanted guests." SHE explained as by that time the event where a spirit had been trapped in her room had occurred and SHE had set him free with the help of her Ouija board.

The woman had nothing to say at this point as it was obvious that SHE wasn't going to back down from her beliefs nor bow down to the older woman's demands of beliefs. The older woman had also said that she was very frugal but when they came to their next port of call, Lisa later on told how the older woman made her feel guilty for wanting to buy a ring at a jewelry store and being ungodly but then later herself guilt-tripped her own husband into a massively expensive jewelry buy in a different store when she didn't realize Lisa had seen her. So much for being G-dly; more like hypocritical.
