Its a rainy morning at Canter Wood the stable hands arrive with umbrellas and jackets to keep dry. They feed us and some bring me and Asia's tack in front of our stalls I hope we aren't riding in this weather. My English saddle, bridle, girth, halter, lead, brushes and a few extra things are on a post outside my stall and I wonder why. I don't see Elizabeth today she probably is getting breakfast or in the main office talking with someone. Ryder is here today talking to one of the stable hands. Then the stable hand (Amy) comes into my stall and puts on my halter and lead then takes me out into the middle of the barn I wonder where we are going. Asia is out too being led by Nicole. Then we spot Elizabeth she is talking to Ryder and we hear the whole story. "Here is a picture of my stables and the food I use, I will feed and groom everyday I also have a huge pasture perfect for these horses. I only have one horse right now her name is Coffee I am so glad she will not be alone anymore." Ryder says to Elizabeth and it sounds nice but are we really being sold to this guy. Elizabeth would never do this. I wait for her to tell him that there was a mix up. "I am so glad these horses can go to a good new home. I cant afford them anymore and I am going to have a baby I just don't have enough money." She sheds a silent tear and her face is all red. "I know its hard I will take care of them." Ryder says in return trying to comfort Eliza. "Oh my gosh Daisy did you hear that." Asia neighs to me and Elizabeth looks over but runs out of the barn with her face in her hands. The stable hands ask Ryder if they can load us into the truck he says yes and they lead us in we are too alarmed to say anything or fight back. I see Elizabeth out of the corner of  my eye. As the trailer pulls away from Canter Wood Elizabeth chases after us tears streaming down her face, she trips and falls and yells for us to come back. Johnathan rushes to her side. The horses scream, buck, kick, and snort in their stalls as I watch them get smaller and smaller. The home that I have never left is now disappearing as we turn a corner. "Asia what do we do." All she says is "There's nothing we can do."

We arrive at an entrance to a long road at the end is a small stables and a large house past the rows of blueberry bushes. The sign reads Blueberry Farms. Ryder parks us in between the stables and what I am guessing is his house. A lady runs towards us and jumps on Ryder and wraps him in a hug while giggling. "How is my stunning wife." he asks "Where are my horses." she says eagerly. Ryder comes over and opens the smelly trailer "Right here my sweets." she unloads us quickly, jerking the rope everywhere. She then tugs us over to a brick looking building and places us into stalls right next to each other. "I love them!!!!!" She admires us for a second then walks away "Come on honey time for lunch." she says to Ryder he jogs after her "Ugh these stalls stink." Asia complains I nod in agreement. A horse pokes her head out of the stall next to Asia's "Oh my gosh new horses I haven't seen another horse in ages!!!" I am guessing that's Coffee like Ryder said when he was talking to Eliza. "I'm sorry where are my manners HI my name is Coffee I have been here for a year, I love treats and what are your names." She is a little nuts "I am Daisy and that's Asia."  I why she hasn't seen any other horses around here have they never brought any other horses. Coffee interrupts my thoughts "So where did you guys come from." Asia answers this question "We are from Canter Wood a prestigious riding academy our owner from what we heard has ran out of money and is getting a new job." I add on a few things "I already miss Elizabeth and I don't know when they are coming back or when they will ride us or anything." I hope Coffee can explain some of this. "Well your new owners are Ryder and Tina Evans they are very busy all the time they own a company where they make blueberry products like juice and tarts etc. They don't really feed me that often but since they aren't around much I have picked up how to open my stall door and graze in the fields." I was used to a very planned out schedule but being left alone all day with no food or water this crazy. "Do you think you could teach us how to open the stalls." since we have nothing better to do. "Of course." She replies excited to have some company it must have been dreadful out here for a year with no one. Coffee uses her lips and teeth to undo the latch on her door and slips out into the sun we get a real glimpse of her now. She is a tan Appaloosa with different colored brown spots. We can also her ribs she looks starving and parched. Her hooves are in bad shape. "OK now just fiddle around with the latch until you hear a click the just push down." Me and Asia both have some difficulty with sliding the rod it clicks and we push the little bar down so the door swings wide open. "Cool" Asia says in satisfaction it was pretty fun being a rebel. The three of us trot to open bright field and I feel free we prance around and neigh eating grass until the sun goes down we get back to the stables and hear Tina and Ryder's voice. We all rush into the stalls and struggle to push the little bar into the hook. Coffee gets hers first then Asia slides hers halfway but she feels its good enough. I play around with mine and it starts to become loose and I wiggle it more to try and get it through the loop but it falls to the ground screws and all. Tina finds us in the stalls I try to act natural she gasps "Oh Daisy could have gotten out her latch fell out of the door I am so glad we caught this before it was too late." Ryder looks relieved. Tina brings me to the stall next to coffee on the other side of the stables away from Asia. The couple fills up the dirty bowls with slightly murky water but I drink it anyway and watch the sun set.
