"My gift allows me to absorb colors into my skin. My natural color is orange but I prefer to be more of a normal color skin wise. Sorry I seemed irritated earlier I just really don't feel like babysitting you. No offense, but I'm pretty busy and today was my only night off in a while." He spoke seeming a bit happier than earlier.
"Oh, sorry. You know you don't have to watch me."
"Actually yes we do for two reasons in fact. One, this is a very dangerous world and we get attacked like every other day. Two, we really don't know if we can trust you."
"But I would never do anything I just want to be with my brother again."
"I know but they don't so you are stuck with me for a while."
"Ahh."
Of course I understood that, but in my mind I am one of the most harmless person here.
........................................
We finally arrived at the boys treehouse, and Oshel was instantly engulfed in hugs and heys and I was cowering in the corner.
