Chapter 33 - Fresh Start

               

We stayed on alert for a good few weeks. I think Liv and I actually relaxed before the boys. The protectiveness for their sisters coming out in them. As far as I was concerned the balance had returned.

A day or two after the eclipse, Zae and I saw some Black Eyes in the preserve while we were taking down the tarps. Both of us tensed scared of what was to come. They turned to face us and smiled. They even bowed their heads and addressed us as Princess and young Prince.

It was like the reset Liv was talking about happened, was what had actually happened. It's at times like that that I wished that mum and dad were still around so I could ask them advice or even see if this is what is what was meant to happen.

Jamie was not letting me go anywhere alone. As much as I had told him that I am fine, that everything is over now. He wouldn't listen. Either him or Xavier had to be with me.

"Jamie, come on I am just going to work at the store. You do not need to go with me."

"But-"

"Jamie no. It's been weeks. I think its safe to say that this is all over with now. Liv was right, they have been reset."

"Fine but, I am still going to worry about you." I look up into his emerald green eyes an see the sincerity in them.

"Tell you what." He looks at me confused. "Meet me at the end of my shift and you can walk me home. Does that sound alright to you, oh protective one?" I giggle when he gives me a look from my comment.

"Izzie I almost watch you die. I am allowed to be a little protective okay. What time do you finish?"

"5:30"

"Okay I'll see you then."

I walk into my room to get changed into more presentable clothes. I was currently in my shorts and tank that I had slept in. Liv walks in as I stand in front of my wardrobe deciding what to wear.

"Agh, that brother of mine is driving me crazy!" She says as she flops onto my bed. "Oh and go for your Marie dress you go when you first got here."

For being here so long and living with Liv, its like we have this psychic mind link. We always know what the other is thinking or we can have full conversations just by looking at each other.

"Um okay? I think we have stock coming in though so I should maybe go for some pan-"

"Is, go the dress, trust me."

"Okay, but if the stock comes today and I get told off for being in a dress. I am blaming you and then you can deal with the wraith of Sarah."

"Done."

"So what has 'that brother of yours' done this time?"

She groans and sits up. I walk over and sit on my bed next to her, doing my sandal straps up.

"He is so paranoid! Both of them are. Though I think Xav is relaxing finally, them calling him young Prince all the time might be making him come around."

"I know, Jamie wanted to come with me to work. I compromised and told him to meet me when I am done and he can walk me home."

Liv looks at me suggestively.

"No Liv."

"Oh come on Is. It's been weeks, we all know you like each other. It's time for you to fess up."

"Liv, you guys are family. I like him, okay, I admit it." Her face brightened at my confession. "But, wouldn't it be weird?"

"Is, please. Xav and I see you as our sister, to Xav you are his actual sister. But to Jamie. He has never thought of you like a sister."
