19: Found Feelings

Em has been acting weird since Caleb came. She has been distant. Not that much talking. Always zoning out. Always quiet. Sometimes irritated. Annoyed. I don't know what's happening.

"Haze!" Caleb shouted.

"W-what?"

"What's gotten into you? Zoning out?" He said chuckling. I shrug.

"No seriously, what's up?" He asked.

"Em. I don't know whats going on with her. She's been distant." I said looking down. Ever since Em and I don't talk much I too, have been gloomy. I mean of course Caleb's fun to be with but with Em is just different.

"Card?" He said.

"What do you mean?"

"Use a card on her, you know. Just to see if she's alright." He said shrugging. Why didn't I thought of that? I guess its because I wouldn't want to play a trick on them.

"But-"

"I know, I know 'I can't play a trick on them cause its risky' blah blah blah." He said with motions. I roll my eyes.

"Its not a trick Haze, its just to see if she's ok." He says.

"Ok ok."

Their talking again. Their really inseperable. I went to Perriewinkle, Bliss and Martina. We started talking and laughing.

HAILEE

She's distracted! Ok time to use it! I grabbed the card from my book and looked at it. The cards name was 'Heart Out(by the 1975😂)' who names these cards? I sat down on the floor a bit near to her. But they wouldn't see me. I said the words written on the back of the card and slid the card across Em. The card was used for see through measures. Mind, heart, and thoughts. I guess thats why its called Heart Out. The card showed.. Half a heart? Is she dead or something. Feelings were: annoyed and sad. Ok what is going on? I just walk over to her and grab her shoulders. She was surprised and her eyes widen.

"Woah!" She says. I look at her.

"I didn't do anything!" She says.

"What's going on with you?" I ask. Her eyebrows furrow.

"What?"

"Your heart, your feelings, you." I answered. She looks at the floor. The girls left.

"Answer me. Please. I'm worried whats up with you.." I said.

"Wouldn't you care about Caleb more?" She said. My eyes widen and she put her hand on her mouth.

"You think I care about Caleb more than all of you guys?" I said.

"I-" I cut her off.

"Just tell me. Thats all I want. What's up with you? Ever since Caleb came you've been distant. You don-" now she cuts ME off.

"I like you!" I look at her.

"W-what?"

"Nothing." She trys to go away but I stopped her.

"What did you say?" I asked calmly.

"I l-like y-you ok?" She says looking down. I just hugged her.

That's it. I told her. I felt relieved finally telling her. She hugs me. Does she understand?

"Oh, love.. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She whispers in my ear. I hugged her back.

"I just.." I couldn't speak.

"Its ok. Really." She pulls back and smiles at me.

"Its ok to you? Its not weird?"

"Yeah of course!" She says smiling at me. I smiled back.

"Thanks for understanding.." I said. She chuckles.

"No problem."

"Can I ask a question though?" Se says. I look at her.

"Yeah sure what is it?"

"Why do you have half a heart when I used the card?"

"Um.. Its because I don't like to see you talking with other guys?" I said in a questioned tone.

"So thats whats up with you and Caleb." She says laughing.

"Well don't be. Besides me and Caleb are JUST friends ok? " she says to me with her hand on my shoulder.

"Hailee! Teacher Aye is calling you!" Mackenzie shouted.

"Coming!" Hailee says and before she goes she kisses my cheek and left.

"YAS!" Someone shouted that made me jump. Its Alexandra.

"Holy sh-- Lex!" I said and she laughs.

"What?!"

"You admitted!" She said.

"No I didn't." I said with sarcasm.

"Sooo is she ok with it?" She asks.

"Yeah."

"Why did you even thought she'd be mad at you?" She asks again.

"I don't know."

"How did she react?"

"You ask a lot of fu---- questions!" I shouted and she laughs.

"Last question."

"Fine!"

"Are you happy now that you let it out?" I smile at her and nod.

"Good that!" Lex says.

"Besides I ship you both!" Lex says and I roll my eyes. I sighed in relief. Hailee comes back and goes to her seat and grab a notebook.

"Whats that?" I asked.

"Oh Teacher assigned me to write these stuff on the board for English class." She says and writes. I suddenly kiss her cheek. Her eyebrows raise and look at me. I looked at her like I did nothing.

"What? I'm not doing anything to you." I smile at her innocently.

"Oh really?" She says laughing.

"Yup." And I kissed her cheek again.

"Bu- ugh nevermind." She shakes her head while I laugh.

"Oh did Lex told you?"

"Told me what?" She asked confused.

"Oh nothing.."

"Em." She looks at me sternly.

"Promise you won't judge me?"

"I wouldn't judge you for anything." She says.

"I'm Bisexual." She shakes her head and chuckles.

"Its ok. I'm proud of you for coming out to us." She said and hugged me. I hugged back of course. She understands me. The whole like thing and my sexuality.

"Love ya." I whispered in her ear. She pulls away and laugh.

"Love ya too."

"Stop being sweet! I'm bitter!" Janna shouted and we laugh.

"Nanay its ok." Hailee said laughing. Everythings ok now I guess. Though Caleb is the only thing thats NOT ok.
