Rain

The weather is foggy

Wet and drenching

This makes most people groggy

But it's a true delight for me as I go for a walk wrenching

The gate open

My tennis shoes automatically getting soaked

I ignore the soggy feeling

And feel droplet strokes

Down my cheeks they flow

While I watch the stormy rain clouds

Walking down the pavement I go

Not caring how incredibly wet are my shrouds

The smell of wet street

Permeates the area

Cold is my face, arms, and feet

As I kick at a

Puddle

Freezing and beautiful

It unravels my mind from it's usual muddle

And I'm grateful for the rain
