"Move you freak!" Zoe said as she aggressively pushes Jess, walking away to her next class, or to her point of view stomping her way to her next class, Jess lost her balance and was about to fall, she closed her eyes waiting for the impact, but she didn't feel anything, she only felt warmth? Jess slowly opened her eyes, she met blue ocean-like eyes. "That was a close one, good thing I arrived on time," his voice sounded soothingly deep, Jess couldn't help herself but stare into his eyes, "thanks... Um.." "I'm Thomas or Tommy if you feel comfortable," he said as he carefully pulled her towards him, she lost her balance once more, tripping over her feet, she leaned forward, she felt his strong chest, she blushed from embarrassment as she quickly stood up straight, fixing her beanie and Nick's glasses she had borrowed from, "I'm sorry." She quickly apologized, he laughed softly, "don't worry about it, you must be... Jess, am I right?" He said as he eyed her up and down, checking her out, Jess being oblivious, ignoring his staring; her eyes widen, surprised, "how did you know?" "I heard a girl yelling at you and I saw her pushing you, you're not hurt are you?" "I'm fine." She said with a smile as she began to walk towards her destination, him following her, "I don't like the way she treats you." He blurted out as he was concerned for her, she didn't say anything as she pulled out her keys, looking for the small object, she unlocked her locker and opened it. "Sorry for butting in, I just- I'm the type of person who worries for-" she held out her hand up, silencing him, "I get it, you've been watching me, you don't need to butt into people's personal lives, now if you excuse me, I have to meet up with a friend of mine," she quickly placed her school notebooks and textbooks in her locker, she pulled her sketchbook out then closed it shut, she couldn't help but feel annoyed, she felt him following her, she paused for a moment, she turned her body to face him, "what are-" Thomas quickly cut her off, "I'm meeting up with Nicholas," "you know Nick?" She asked, with curious eyes, "so now you're interested?" she ignored his comment, "answer," she demanded, he let out a sigh, telling her that they are close friends, but for some reason, she felt that there was something more behind his side of the story, but didn't question him as her assumptions were usually wrong; Jess nodded, smiling at him, "he didn't ask you to help me?" She asked him, making sure that whatever was bothering her was just her mind messing her up again, Thomas shook his head, "Nick didn't tell me anything, I promise. I was just curious because he won't shut his annoying mouth about you," he held both of his hands up in defense, she nodded and was about to walk away when she felt him grab her arm, holding her back, "we should get to know each other, don't worry, I'm not the type of guy that dates, as you may notice that, I am popular with the ladies," he wiggled his eyebrows up and down before giving her a flirtatious wink, which caused her to cringe in the inside but at the outside, she rolled her eyes, "your one to talk," she crossed her arms, "but I'll accept, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try meeting new people, but don't expect me to flirt back." She added, causing Thomas to laugh, he took her slender hand giving it a firm handshake, "deal, but don't keep promises you can't keep."
"Yo Nick!" Nicholas stopped playing with his guitar, and using his free hand to wave in the air, Thomas grabbed Jess's hand and pulled her alongside him as they made their way towards Nick's car, "I'm just here to tell you about Zoe and Jess, don't worry, she's fine, I happened to be there when Zoe pushed her, but can't say for Zoe, she seems grumpier each day, I never saw her this way, any way, I should get going, I have to meet up with the other guys," he patted his shoulder and ran off, as he was running late for something important, leaving the two friends alone. "So, you finally met Thomas," he smirked, he handed her his guitar and leaped down a little, taking his guitar back and placing it back in its case, "I won't fall for another," she simply said, crossing her arms, Nick let out a tired sigh. He had been caught, "come on Jess, give him a chance, please? He's a good guy, we met since primary school," she kept silent, he scratched the back of his neck, "well, I'm not surprised, I mean he wouldn't be paying attention to you if it weren't for me, I'm sorry, but it's just that-" "you wanted to help me, I know, but look, you can't-" "force someone to like you, I know, but hey at least-" "I told him that I will get to know him, but nothing more," Nick let out a sigh of relief he didn't know that he was holding in. "That's progress, I know! How about we go to the park today or something with the others, how about it?" He suggested as he pulled out his phone from his front right pocket, "sure, but no funny business, got it?" He nodded, typing on his phone, "no funny business, okay, get in the car," he smiled brightly.
