The Void came first. An endless, empty vacuum; as there always was after the Storm, the terrible, destructive havoc that destroyed the World Before. The destructive power of the Storm was so great that the World Before was launched back into the Timeless Lands, the one world immune to the power of the Void and its storms. The Timeless Lands are the place from which all worlds come, and it has magic, power, and materials enough to support a hundred worlds and still be the biggest of them. But the elements of the World Before were not meant to stay in the Timeless Lands, and were rejected, as always happens when a world dies. But, this time, something different happened, something that should never have happened. Some of the Timeless's elements came with those of the material world's, and brought magic with them. Some of the denizens from the Timeless Lands came to retrieve the misplaced elements, but saw the world forming with the help of those elements, and decided to leave them, and also to stay in the new world, which they called Adynate. These former residents of the Timeless Lands were elemental Guardians, but in Adynate, they became gods, one for every element, both worldly and timeless. And so, Adynate was formed from its thirteen elements; Earth, Fire, Air, Water, Light, Darkness, Life, Death, Magic, Mundane, Order, Chaos, and most importantly, Time. These elements all worked together to keep the oldest, most powerful element, Null, whose only purpose was to destroy all other elements, at bay in the Void. Such was the beginning of Adynate, the newest world.
