This may seem to be similar to a book or story, and parts of it are based off of other things, but the work is my own

I was running back home from school when I found it.  The hole was in the woods behind my house, which wouldn't have been weird but for what was in it.  When I (literally) stumbled upon it, I looked down and froze, unable to think or process anything beyond how impossible this hole was.
The hole, about a foot wide, had no bottom, as it seemed to open into another world.  And this was no reflection.  For one thing, my face was not in this image.  For another, I was in the middle of the woods, and the hole showed strange crags of even stranger rock; shimmery black with silver veins and coppery flecks.  One crag had a crack with a plant growing out of it.  The plant had scarlet stems with deep purple leaves, and translucent, sightly iridescent, white berries.  But the strangest part was the sky.  A rich purple, overlaid with a dancing green Aurora, had two moons, one of them ringed, and a Milky Way effect crossing the whole sky, even showing some nebulas, blue and magenta clouds part hidden by the swirling green curtains below.
I (naturally) freaked out, sprinting home, accidentally punching a huge tree in my flailing bolt of terror.  I felt the bark of the tree give way into nothingness, only half registering it as I kept running.  I bolted into the house and stopped, panting, before noticing that all of the mirrors showed, at first glance, a perfectly normal scene, but on closer inspection, things were odd.  Reflections' movements were delayed and didn't match the originals, colors were off, and when I looked away and back, my reflection seemed to snap back to me from doing something else.
I shot upstairs to my room, and picked up my favorite book to relax, but when I opened it, the setting burst out, flooding my room with a forest seemingly made of glass.  I gave up and shut the book, and quickly called my friend Sam.  When he answered, verbal diarrhea took over, and I spilled out all of the weird of the past few minutes in one breath, with Amy (Sam's twin) laughing in the background.  When I shut up, Sam was silent.

"Are you okay, Chris?  I mean, I trust you, but this is kind of far-fetched."

"I'm fine- well, not really, cause I am freaking out right now, but I swear, this is happening."

"Alright, I'm coming over."

A few minutes later, Sam and Amy walked in the door, and we all went out to look at the hole.

"This is-"

"Freaky?"

"Yeah"

We all stood there in silence before Amy said, "I'm gonna stick my head in it, look around some more"

"That sounds like a horrible idea."

"Aw, Sam, you don't wanna do it?"

"I never said you couldn't." Sam shrugged.

"Chris, whaddaya say, girl?"

"Go for it, but I'm not doing it"

"Sweet" Amy poked her head in, but immediately yanked back out, looking very green.  "I'm not sure which was worse, looking in to begin with or coming out way too fast," she mumbled, voice wavering.  At our confused looks, she told us that, while our side of the hole was in the ground, the other side was in the side of a rock.  "Sudden changes in the direction of gravity are not fun"

"Damn, who would have thought..."

"Cram it"

"Amy, let's go home before you do anything dumber than that."

"Wasn't planning on it after that, but okay.  See ya, Chris"

"Hey, Chris? Could you keep an eye on that?"

"Obviously"

They left, Amy wobbling slightly, and both of them looking very tense.  I looked at the hole, then headed inside, with no intention of doing my homework.
