Part 4 art, not my base.

"Daddy?" Rowdy whipped around to see a familiar palomino pelt ...

"Emerald?" Rowdy breathes his eyes widening slightly

"Hi daddy!" Emerald says quietly smiling softly as she gazed at her father,

It took Rowdy a few moments before he walked over to nuzzle her.

"What are you doing here.... you know you can't come and visit me." He said sternly but Emerald could see he wasn't mad at her.

"I know daddy but momma is really sick and Blood told me to get you just in case..." She paused, reluctantly she corrected herself, "Blood told me to come get you so that you could say good-bye.." She sniffed

Rowdy bowed his head in grief, speaking quietly he answered

"Come Emerald I need to see your mother and see if I can do something to help her."

"What about your apprentice won't she worry if your gone?" Emerald asked, Rowdy shook his head no as he gathered up herbs.

"She's celebrating with a friend, they wont be back until later." He said, once he was done grabbing herbs the two galloped out of the camp.

It wasn't long before the familiar abandoned two-leg place came into view, where Scarlet and the kids stay during the cold season, coming up to the entrance, Rowdy saw that his son, Blood, was standing guard.

"Dad...?" The young stallion questions in a tired voice

"Hello son." Rowdy says a slight smile appears when his eldest foal rushes up to nuzzle him.

"It's been too long dad." Blood sighs backing away slightly

"I agree son, I hate being away from you all.." Rowdy said quietly,

A pain stricken whinny came from inside the building, "Go on dad...she's waiting for you." Blood said side stepping to let his father pass.

Walking in Rowdy was suddenly hit with the stench of sickness, he winced slightly and continued towards the back of the barn were coughing could be heard, a small white figure was sprawled out on a hay bed, Rowdy barely recognized the mare as Scarlet his first mate, she was looked frail and hurt her breaths were shallow.
