Percy's Point of view

One morning I woke up to find Amber still asleep with her head on my chest. I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere, so I decided that I would stay there until she woke up. I didn't really want to disturb her so I didn't try to move her. When she woke up I smiled at her slightly amused and asked, "Did you sleep well?"

I couldn't help but chuckle slightly when she replied, "Well you are rather comfortable."

She got off of me, and I started to get up. Before I could though Amber said, "Stay a little longer."

Since I didn't have anywhere important to be I slid back under the covers with her. We laid there in silence for a while, but eventually I pulled her closer to me, and I kissed her. She returned it, and it turned into a rather heated make-out session. We didn't take it any further, though, we'd already done that last night.

We separated for air, and then Amber spoke. She said, "Are you sure you want more children?"

slightly confused I replied, "Yes, don't you?"

I couldn't help but wonder had she changed her mind? did she decide that she didn't want more children?

In response to my question, she said, "Yes I do, I was just making sure that you still did."

I was still quite confused, why would she think that I would change my mind?

it was clear to me that something was bothering her, but I couldn't understand why she would think I would change my mind.

Wanting to understand I asked her, "Amber what's wrong?"

She hesitated before saying, "I just...

then she must have reconsidered what she was going to say and then said, "I'm pregnant."

My reaction to those two words was slightly different this time than it was the first time she had said them to me. The first time I had been pleased, but I was also quite worried due to the fact that I knew how hard a demigod's life could be and I was quite worried about what luke would have to go through. This time, though, my reaction was nothing but happiness. I once again pulled Amber toward me and planted a kiss on her lips.

When we separated again Amber said, "Percy I can tell there's not just one."

slightly surprised, I asked her, "Twins?"

she nodded. Amber seemed happier now, I guess she was pleased by my reaction to the news.

It really didn't matter to me if they ended up being both boys, or girls, or one of each for that matter, but I wouldn't mind if we had at least one girl since we already had Luke. I'm not trying to replace Christina, I would never forget her. but I would kind of like another daughter since I already have a son.
