The New God Series Shorts and One Shots.

I don't know what to call this one lol, I'll change it later.

Percy was sitting in his living room looking at the mirror he used to keep an eye on certain demigods who were important to him, or might need his help. At the moment he was keeping an eye on his son since obviously, he was important to him, and Percy didn't want anything to happen to him. Percy could see that Luke was perfectly fine since he was preoccupied playing with a toy. 

Watching over Luke and Amber made it harder for Percy to stay away from them, but he knew he had to, he couldn't risk putting them in danger, and watching over them reassured him that they were safe. Percy was about to make the mirror go back to normal when he heard a knock on his door. he would probably do it once he knew who was at his door. Percy opened the door only to see his father at the door. 

"Hello, Percy,"Poseidon said.

"Hi Dad," Percy replied.

Percy knew that his dad hadn't seen his son before so Percy decided that he would leave the image of Luke on the Mirror for a little longer. As they walked into the room Poseidon spotted the image and said, "That's him," it was more a statement than a question since  based on the boy's appearance it wasn't hard to tell that he was probably Percy's son, the biggest giveaway was probably his gold and sea green eyes which were identical to Percy's, the only real difference was that Luke's contained a child's excitement and curiosity rather than the look of a man with many years of experience.

"Yeah, that's Luke," Percy confirmed with a small smile on his face.

"It seems like he took after you," Poseidon said, a bit amused. 

Percy smiled sheepishly before replying, "Yeah it seems that way,"

"It's been hard for you to stay away from them," Poseidon guessed, knowing that Percy still cared for Luke's mother, and obviously Luke was also extremely important to him, he was his son after all.

Percy sighed and replied, "Yeah, Abandoning them like this isn't what I would have done if there'd been any other options, it's been hard not being able to see them or help them,"

Percy didn't let on that he had done things to help them out a couple of times, he suspected that his dad wouldn't have said anything to anyone if he had told him, but Percy still couldn't risk anyone finding out since he had technically been breaking the ancient laws by doing so. 

Percy and Poseidon spoke for a short time before Poseidon eventually left. shortly After Poseidon left Percy was once again about to make the mirror go back to normal when Amber came into the image, obviously checking on Luke. At the sight of her, Percy sighed once again, thinking of her and the time they'd spent together before she'd told him she was pregnant. Before he'd been forced to leave her. 

Percy knew that he still loved her and although he wasn't sure he thought that Amber still loved him. more than anything he wished he could go back to her, and be there for her and Luke but unfortunately he couldn't since doing that would just put Amber and Luke in danger. Percy made the mirror return to normal while he was still thinking about Amber and Luke. Not having anything better to do he went upstairs to the games room to try and distract himself so he would no longer be thinking the painful thoughts that had come from seeing Amber and Luke again. 

Percy wasn't really sure how he could continue staying away from Amber and Luke and watch over them until Luke is old enough to go to camp, it had already been three years since Luke was born, and nine or ten more years still seemed so far away. Percy couldn't help but think that maybe someday after Luke is older he and Amber could get back together Percy knew of only one way that He and Amber could stay together and not have to be separated but for now, that would have to wait since he couldn't go back to them yet.
