Reunion

Elwin's POV

As I arrange my bottles and medicine whilst hearing Dame Alina talking about how today is the 2 year mark of Sophie's murder. Her announcements consist of how this is the time to get over Sophie and let her rest in piece. 

I remember how many close calls to death she had and seeing her lifeless looking body return to normal. We all new it was just a letter of time. I pick up the green slicer and merge it with the blue one.

Sophie was a fighter because for some reason Death always sought her out. I remember hearing Sophie was missing then hearing her announced dead, everyone cried for days. She did not deserve to die but now is the time to let go. Sophie is dead and not coming back.

All the sudden I hear the back door swing open and see a girl who looks like she has been starving and living on her own. Two paramedics lay her on the treatment bed below the jars and treatments. I see Grady and Edaline looking through the Crack in the door and realize this girl is Sophie Foster. I come and look at her. Sophie's ribs are showing and she has many wounds on her body. Her fingernails look weird and her hair is knotted and dirty.

I examine her and tell Grady and Edaline that it appears she has been tortured. Edaline and Grady cover there mouths muffling sobs. 

"Check her back pack for clues of what happened." I say. Edaline searches her back pack and picks up the a journal. I take a step back realizing the contents it holds. They all read it amazed that Sophie is alive.

"There is no way Sophie should be alive after all that" I say and Edaline and Grady nod through their crying, trying to take in the fact that there daughter was tortured for a year and escaped before she was killed. 

Sophie's POV

I wake up on this comfy bed and see no one in the room. What happened I wonder. It hits me, the kidnappers probably got me again. A door swings open and I crawl to the edge of my bed.

"Please don't hurt me." I beg. A man steps in a runs over and hugs me.

"Who are you?" I ask. It is creepy that man I don't know just hugged me.

"You don't remember me?" He asks, "My names Elwin."

"Sorry I don't know who I am or you, I just know my parents and going to a school called foxfire." I sit up and double over in pain." 

"Easy" he says. He has the personality where you instantly like him. He lays me down with a caring look in his eye. 

My parents come in and start crying. They give me kisses and tell me how much they love me. They hold Iggy in their arms, even though I forget who I am, I could never forget Iggy! 

"Sophie you may go back to Foxfire on Monday a week from today. You need time to rest. I am gonna sedate you for a week." Elwin announced. "Who is Sophie" I ask? Mom and dad gasp.

"You are Sophie Foster the girl who is about to be sedated!" Elwin exclaimed. Before I could refuse he poured them down my mouth. I hate sedatives after all I was drugged constantly. I think I am gonna cry, they scare me, the sedatives.

"They'll knock you out in minutes" he said. He put a I.V. in my arm and I winced in pain and everything went black. I awoke in my room and the clock said 6:00. Iggy was purring really loud and I couldn't believe I just slept a whole week. My body was back to normal although I was still soar and I took a shower and did my hair. My hair was starting to get pretty long. Mom came in.

"Baby, no one knows you're alive besides the government, us and Elwin and the teachers so it will come as a shock to the school. Try to stay unnoticed for a while or else you will have a ton of unwanted attention." My mom said sounding empathetic.

When mom left I put on my school uniform and was drove to school by dad.

"I love you Sophie," dad said. Sometimes I still forgot my name. "This year your a nine!!!" Dad said excited.

Dad dropped me off at the back of Elwin's office and Elwin was amazed at my recovery. 

I walked to science and I had Lady Galvin again with a ton of other students. I saw tons of kids and you could tell who the populars were. With my torture journal in hand I snuck unnoticed to the back of the class.

I probably wouldn't be noticed by my friends, assuming I had any, because my hair was longer and I was taller so I looked a little different. After all my classes were done (the ones before lunch) each teacher met with me telling me they were glad I was back. They told me at lunch Dame Alina would announce my return so to go behind stage. I walked up to a huge auditorium and went behind stage. Shortly after people filled in the auditorium and Dame Alina started talking. 

"We have a special guest who will be starting at Foxfire today." Said Dame Alina.

"I hope she doesn't die like Sophie," some kid shouted. I hope Sophie is okay, it took me a second to realize I was Sophie and everyone thought I was dead.

"Please come out" Dame Alina sang. I started walking out through the door. I stood by Dame Alina.

"Give a warm welcome to Sophie Foster!" She shouted. Everyone gasped. 

"Dismissed." Dame Alina said. When I walked out to lunch people surrounded me saying they were glad to have me back. 4 boys and 4 girls came up to me. 3boys had brown hair one hair blond and 3 girls had brown hair one had red.

"Hi my names Sophie but you probably knew that!" I stuttered. Maybe I could make friends with them but they stood there speechless.

"You don't remember us do you?" a girl with brown hair and pretty blue eyes said. I shook my head.

"My names Biana" she said, "and we were friends." The rest of them introduced there self the blonde was Keefe the red head was Lila the other Brunettes were Marcella, Fitz, Lihn, Jensi, And Dex. I think the rest of the year is gonna be great.
