After the roads had cleared, Dylan went to his old house at the bottom of the mountain while Mickey and Justin showered and picked up their home. 

No longer than a few minutes after everything is put away, a little girl is being carried out of the car by a gorgeous woman who strongly resembles Dylan. Dylan grabs a few bags from the back and follows his sister inside.

"I'm so thankful that you put that smile on my brother's face. He has been so worried after Ella's father walked out on me." Brenda then looks around the cabin. "This place is charming." 

"Built it myself for my family." Justin pipes up, looking lovingly at Mickey and Dylan. 

"You're too good to me Justin." Dylan teases, unlacing his snow boots by the door before picking up Mickey to hug. 

"You three are mates, aren't you?" Brenda asks, and Mickey nods. 

"You knew about shifters?" Dylan looks at his sister, aghast.

"Yeah. Ella's dad was one, but he left me because he found his mate." Brenda moves her daughter's hair out of her face. "That's why I thought being surrounded by shifters was a good idea for her." 

"Smart." Mickey nods at Brenda, before remembering something. "We have your rooms set up." 

They follow her to the rooms, and both settle in very easily. As the days turned into weeks and then months, Mickey's stomach was ever-expanding and Ella came out of her shell with her Auntie Mickey and Uncle Justin. Brenda loved helping around the house, and Mickey helped her out with the college mathematics that she was having problems with. Mickey started homeschooling Ella, and she was thriving. 

They rescued a kitten found in the barn, and the cat developed a particular respect for Mickey's things. Both enjoyed sitting in the same spots, so you could rarely find Mickey without Snow (named by Ella). 

All in all, life had worked out really well for Mickey, Justin and Dylan. With twins on the way, both were over the moon waiting for their children to arrive. 

And it all started with a snow storm....
