-Cody's POV-

I woke up in Anthony's bed, the light from the window shone in my face. I buried my face into his pillow, which smelled like him. I smiled slightly, remembering the times we had, when I heard a knock on the bedroom door.

I shot up and saw Ian peek his head through the crack, "Hey, you're up." He walked in and sat down on the edge of the bed, "I made some breakfast if you want some. Oh, and my girlfriend's coming over today to help you get a new wardrobe."

"A new wardrobe?" I repeated, perplexed.

He nodded his head, "Yeah, you know, so you don't have to wear that..." He pointed to my outfit from the mental institution. It was the only thing I had besides the T-shirt, "...all the time."

"What's wrong with this?" I retorted. I'd worn this outfit almost all my life, and I felt slightly insulted when he said that.

He sighed, "I was just trying to give you the life that you've been missing. And buying a new wardrobe is one step closer to that." He blushed, "If you don't want to, I'm not going to force you to, but..."

"No, it's fine," I smiled slightly, running my fingers through my hair, "What's your girlfriend's name anyways?" I asked, dropping my arm back to my side.

"Her name's Melanie," He answered, "She's really nice and can't wait to meet you." The front door bell rang, "Ooh! That must be her!" He exclaimed, jumping to his feet and running out of the room. I slowly got out of the bed, and slowly peeped my head into the hall. I watched as Ian pulled out of a kiss with a girl with blonde hair and made eye contact with me.

"And there she is!" Ian announced, pointing to me. I immediately felt nervous and on the spot.

She smiled and walked up to me, extending her hand out, "Hi, I'm Melanie."

"Cody," I replied, shaking her hand.

She turned around to Ian, "She seems so nice."

"She is," He agreed with her.

She spun around on her heels so that she was facing me again, "We can leave whenever you're ready." She looked at my outfit and frowned, "Is that the only thing you have?"

"I...I have a T-shirt..." I answered quietly. She reminded me of the popular girls in school who would always make fun of me when I moved to live with the Holts in San Francisco.

She heaved a sigh, "I guess that'll have to do. Do you have any pants? Or shorts? Or bottoms?" I shook my head no.

"You can borrow a pair of Anthony's skinny jeans. They might be a little big, but, they might fit," Ian suggested. Melanie gave me a look of sympathy before turning to her boyfriend. I'm not one to judge, but I already didn't like this girl. I mean, sure, she's helping me, but...she seems mean. And not too excited to meet me once she saw me for me.

I turned around and back into Anthony's room, where I started searching through Anthony's drawers for skinny jeans. I pulled out a pair of purple ones and held them up to my waist, almost a perfect fit. I stepped into them and zipped them up. They immediately fell down, so I then went to search for a belt. I found a white one and put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror and shrugged. Like Melanie said, it'll have to do. I then slipped into the Smosh T-shirt I had and put my hair into a ponytail, swiping my bangs to the side.

I walked out and saw Melanie and Ian talking. I walked in and they went silent.

Ian cleared his throat and greeted, "Hey, Cody."

I didn't say anything in return, only pick up the plate of breakfast he had made for me. I took a bite into it and it was the best thing I had in years. I scarfed the rest and set my plate down. Ian laughed, "Wow, you must've really been hungry."

I grinned before Melanie stood up, "Are you ready to go now?" She inquired impatiently.

I nodded my head. She kissed Ian goodbye and walked out. I waved goodbye and got in the passenger seat of her car.

She looked over at me as she turned the ignition on, "Are there any places you want to hit first?"

I stared at her, dumbfounded. "I...I don't know any clothes places," I stuttered.

"Really?" She inquired in disbelief. I nodded my head, and, in return, she scoffed, "Wow...well, I guess I'll just take you to some of my favorite places to go."

After hours spent in the mall, I had bought almost $300 worth in clothes, which Melanie kindly paid for. I felt bad, and I couldn't stop thanking her. She said I looked fantastic in all of the stuff, but in my opinion, I looked just like her. Just that my hair was brown, hers was blonde, and I was a little heavier than her.

We returned back to Ian's and Melanie told me to go change into my new clothes. I put on the new clothes and walked out, Ian smirked while Melanie clapped her hands, proud of herself.

"Great," Ian said, standing up from the couch he sat on, "Next thing we need to do is get you a job. We can do that tomorrow."

-Anthony's POV-

I sat in my cell, staring at the wall. With just my luck, I was put in same the one I was in months ago, when I first came here. The same water damage spot on the ceiling, the same, ugly white brick walls with blood spatters (not all from me), and the same, uncomfortable metal bed with a thin pad to act as a mattress.

I heard a knock on my door. I turned my head ever so slightly to see Mrs. Kelly, Cody's psychiatrist, standing in front of my door, "Anthony?"

"What?" I groaned.

"I would like to have a word with you."

"About what?" I mumbled under my breath.

"I want you to tell me what happened with you and Cody."

I immediately sat up, "Why?"

"Because, I'm an adult and I said so," She replied, "And if you choose to argue with me, I can get you sent downstairs - where you'll never see Cody again."

I rushed up to the door, "No! I...I need to see her. Please, I'll do anything to see her again. "

"Good," She replied with a smirk before opening my door and escorting me to her office. I sat down in the chair across from her desk. She crossed her hands and gave me a sincere look, "Anthony, I want you to tell me how you escaped and she didn't. Wasn't you plan to escape together?"
