-Cody's POV-

Ian drove up to the address given to me by Mrs. Kelly and pulled into the driveway. He turned the car off and looked over at me. But I didn't return the look, I was too entranced by the house. It was a small, one-story house with a one-car garage. The exterior walls were painted a beige color, the shudders were painted white, and the front door was a light blue color.

"Well, let's look inside!" Ian exclaimed as he got out of the car. I slowly got out after him. He waited by the door as I got the duffel bag out of the back of the car. I closed the back and walked towards him. He turned around and opened the door.

The two us walked through the threshold and I was amazed. The house was already furnished. There were even some pictures on the walls. One with me and Mrs. Kelly when I was younger. One with me and Brent doing some community work. Even one of Anthony and me sitting together at one of the cafeteria tables. I dropped the duffel bag and took a few steps forward.

"Damn...why couldn't my Aunt get me something like this?" Ian joked.

I looked back at him, but said nothing.

He sighed, "Why do you look so sad?"

I crossed my arms and scoped the room around me, "I don't know. I just...it doesn't feel right." I dropped my arms to my sides and walked over to him, "I have all I ever dreamed of...a nice place to stay in. A chance at life. But I'm missing something..."

"What are you missing?" He inquired.

I looked up into his blue eyes and blushed, "Someone to share it with."

-Anthony's POV-

I sat in Mrs. Kelly's office. Supposed my old therapist got fired and she was my new one. But from what I've heard from honing in on conversations that weren't mine in the lunchroom, I found out that one of his patients strangled him to death during one of their sessions. Crazy, right? Well, it gave me an idea. One that may or may not work. But I won't know until I try, right?

Mrs. Kelly walked in from talking to the someone, locked the door behind her, and made her way over to her desk. She smiled at me, "Hello, Anthony."

I heaved a sigh, and like I was told to do, replied monotonously, "Hello Mrs. Kelly."

"How are you today?" She questioned. Like she actually cared...

"How do you think I'm doing?" I growled in response. Her smile faded and she glared at me.

"How about you tell me what's on your mind, Anthony." She ordered. Little did Mrs. Kelly know that when she was outside talking with one of the guards, I had acquired one of the rope curtain tie backs, which I was hiding behind my back. Waiting for the perfect moment to...

"Anthony? How about you tell me what's on your mind," She repeated more aggressively than last time.

I chuckled evilly, "You know what's on my mind, Mrs. Kelly?" She sat back in her chair, waiting for my response. I rose to my feet, keeping the rope tie-back behind my back, and remarked, "I think it's time for me to leave this fucking place."

"Oh, do you now?" She retorted.

"Yeah. I do." And that's when I jumped onto the desk and jumped behind her, wrapping the tie-back around her neck. She clutched onto it for dear life as I pulled it closer to me. She started choking.

"Anthony...stop...please..." She croaked.

"Never," I whispered into her ear as I pulled tighter. She closed her eyes shut in pain. I held onto the rope until her hands dropped onto her lap and she stopped struggling for air.

I heaved a sigh as I let go of the rope and set it on the desk. I picked up the trophy on her desk and made my way over to the window. I clutched the trophy tightly and smashed it against the window, causing it to crack. I hit it again and the window shattered. I threw the trophy behind me and went for the desk.

I started looking through Mrs. Kelly's notes, looking for the address of the house Cody was staying in. I found a piece of paper tucked in the back of her agenda and pulled it out - it was just what I was looking for. I folded that up and slipped it into one of the pockets on my jumpsuit. I walked around the desk and pulled out the bag I left behind before that I hid under the chair I was sitting in. I slung it over my shoulder and climbed out the window. I glanced back in and gave one last look at Brookside Mental Facility, the place that ruined my life and changed everything for me.

The guard outside the door appeared in the little window just before I was about to leave and his eyes widened. I grinned widely. He touched the radio on his shoulder and said something into it - most likely about me escaping. I shook my head before starting to run to only one place I could think of staying in for a while until I could get to Cody's. My own house.

*****

I stopped in front of the house. I hadn't been there in so long. It felt different, like I never lived here before. I took in a big breath before running up to the door. I lifted the doormat, but the spare key wasn't there. I checked the top of the door - no spare key. I checked the bottom of the mailbox - no spare key. I heaved a sigh and pressed the doorbell.

The door swung open and she gasped, "Oh my god!" She pulled me into a tight hug, "I thought I'd never see you again, Anthony!"

"Me either. Hey, can I stay here for a little?" I asked her, "I just need a place to clean up and sleep at for one night. Then I've got to go on the run again."

She pouted, "Why? I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, Kalel," I remarked, sort of lying. To be honest, she was the person I worried most about when I first was admitted into Brookside. But then I met Cody and...you get the picture. "But I can't stay here long," I added, "They're coming for me and I know this is one place they'll come to first."

"Who's 'they'?" She inquired, her tone full of concern.

"Kalel, I don't have time to explain," I retorted, walking past her and dropping my bag down on the ground and navigating through the house I'd forgotten the layout of, "Where's the bathroom again?" I questioned her, looking over my shoulder.

She closed the door behind her and glanced up at me, "Why? So you can just take a shower and go straight to bed before leaving again?"

"Yes! Exactly!"

"No. I'm not letting you go again, Anthony." Kalel told me, crossing her arms over her chest. I rolled my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair. I did not need any of her 'You're not just staying for the night' bullshit right now.
