Klaus' Trip to Wonderland
(I do not own the Vampire Diaries, or Alice in Wonderland, and I claim no right to them, this is all for fun)
(Cheshire played by Elizabeth Gillies)
Klaus was freaking out. There was no other way to put it. He had been running from Mikael for 1000 years and in the course of 2 days Damon had set him free and sent him after Klaus. He was currently watching Damon and Mikael inside the boarding house from his hiding place in the woods, trying to figure out their plan, but when Damon locked eyes with Klaus out the window, he knew he had to run. He took off back into the woods as fast as he could, quickly trying to hide as he heard Mikael gaining on him. He contemplated climbing trees, or jumping into the lake when he saw exactly what he needed, a rabbit hole. It was large and dark, he could wait in it for an hour until he was sure Mikael was gone, but he quickly realized that may not have been the greatest plan. When he fell in, he didn't stop falling. He didn't scream of course, although he felt he may have hit his head as he jumped down because he fell through an endless tunnel, surrounded by bookshelves, a piano, and lights everywhere. He grunted as he landed on a bed before continuing his decent and falling through a ceiling into an odd little room full of doors. He stood up and only had a moment to look around before he heard a girlish scream, followed by a blonde women falling from the opposite direction he did. "Are you alright miss?" He asked, being a gentleman. Most people didn't know but Klaus did have manners, he just didn't use them around people who didn't deserve it, but this young girl, no more than 18, had never done anything to him.
"Yes, I think so, where am I?" She questioned as he helped her up.
"I'm not sure, I only fell in here a moment before you did. I'm Klaus."
"Alice." She quickly rushed away from him, trying to open all the doors with a key that was on the table before realizing it went to the smallest door in the room, one they could never fit into. He sighed before turning and seeing a bottle on the table that wasn't there before. He picked it up, shrugging, and taking a small sip before he began coughing and suddenly everything in the room was much, much taller than he was.
"Give me the key!" He shouted to her and she did before taking a sip herself while he unlocked the door and opened it to find...a garden? Klaus felt her grab ahold of his arm as they walked through the door before it slammed behind them and quickly stumbled upon a group of...people?
He stared forward to see a white rabbit, a door mouse, 2 short bald twins, and a...caterpillar smoking on a mushroom? Dear god, what drugs was he on? Of course he knew he hadn't been drugged, as a hybrid no drug would work on him, but he was sure if he could get high, this is what it would feel like.
"What do you say Absolem? Is she the right Alice?" The rabbit questioned and Klaus knew he had missed something as he looked down and saw a picture of what looked like Alice killing a dragon.\
"Not hardly." He grunted, disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
"I told you she's the wrong Alice!" The mouse shouted making Klaus raise his brows in question.
"I was so sure."
"Little imposter! Pretending to be Alice." A large flower complained and he pushed Alice behind him slightly as everyone was approaching her threateningly.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be the wrong Alice." The girl on Klaus' arm spoke up, but Klaus paid no mind as he heard something in the distance barreling toward them at an alarming rate. He pulled Alice out of the way of the beast at the last possible second before she got flattened.
"BANDERSNATCH!" The twins screamed in fear as a bunch of life sized cards followed behind it and everyone began running. Klaus was about to fight them off when Alice was pulling him along a trail, running after the twins. He was unsure of why he allowed it but something told him he needed to, that he needed to continue going in this direction.
"Wait, this is only a dream!" Alice exclaimed as she stopped suddenly. "You can't hurt me, you can't hurt me." And it didn't seem like it was going to as it stopped in front of her, that is, until Mallymkun stabbed it, pulling out it's eye, causing it to scratch Alice quite harshly. Klaus grabbed her into his arms and ran at an inhuman pace until they were away from the threat, placing her back on her feet. "Thank you Klaus." He nodded kindly watching the twins grab her hands and continue down the trail for a few moments.
"This way, east to Queast."
"No, South to Snud!" They argued, like they always seemed to, when suddenly there was a loud screeching noise from behind them and Klaus turned to see a giant bird barreling towards them.
"Duck!" He hissed, taking Alice to the ground as the boys were lifted into the air and flown away. "Well, at least we finally got them to shut up." He laughed but stopped at her angry glare.
"That's no nice Klaus, they were sweet boys."
"Sorry." He cringed at that word on his tongue, and questioned why he was even saying it, before following behind her as they continued along the trail
