"You actually think were going to believe you went after Mikael, a man youve been running from for 1000, to save your mate who is from another world called Underland? Hes officially lost it." Kol laughed and I glared at him.

I had been back for 2 weeks. I had chased down Mikael and destroyed him, before releasing all of my siblings a few hours ago. I had recently made the mistake of telling them the truth and they were currently having fun laughing about it.

"Dont forget the fact that his mate is part cat." Rebekah chuckled making me growl.

"And he has a friend that is a hatter and also certifiably insane...you must admit Niklaus, this sounds far fetched."

"Get out." I snarled and they looked stunned. "I was stupid to think you would believe me, or that it would matter to you even if you did. You dont care about me. I could have stayed with her, but I came back to free you...now ill never see my mate again." They looked horrified by my speech.

"You truly believe what youre saying dont you?" Finn questioned and I shrugged.

"I know what happened, whether you believe me or not I-" I cut myself off, seeing a blue butterfly behind my family...it looked almost as if...it came from the mirror over the fireplace... "Absolem?" It landed on my finger making me smile.

"The caterpillar?" Bekah asked and I nodded, standing and walking to the mirror. I was inches from touching it when it seemed to almost vibrate and I suddenly had my arms full of brunette.

"My word...it worked...Niklaus!" I looked up to see my mate on top of me and grinned wider than ever before.

I pulled her into my arms tighter and kissed her happily. "I thought I would never see you again Pet!" I stood, twirling her around and laughing along with her squeals of joy.

"I have missed you my darling! I never wish for you to stop embracing me!" She burried her face into my neck and purred like an excited kitten.

"I am never letting you go again! I don't care where we live as long as I never have to leave you again." I heard a throat clear loudly and opened my eyes to find my stunned siblings beside us.

"Where is Alice?" Cheshire asked suddenly and I looked at her confused.

"I don't know, I haven't seen her since we left 2 weeks ago." She looked even more confused than I felt.

"Weeks...Niklaus...youve been gone for 2 years. The hatter is ill, I must find her, we thought seeing both of you might be what he needs. I found the portal through the looking glass weeks ago but then Tarrent got sick and I needed to stay, I'm so sorry, but we must go."

"Of course, let me change quickly, wait here love." I kissed her quickly before taking off upstairs. I changed out of my pajamas before running back down stairs to see my siblings... poking my mates face. "Hey! Leave her be!" I insisted. Elijah, Bekah and Finn listened, Kol however, did not.

"Is this a tattoo? It's freaky." He poked again, holding her face in his hands firmly.

"Might I recommend you release her before I opt to release you from your mortal coil?" I snarled at my little brother. The next thing I knew my mate was hissing angrily, and raking her claws down his cheek.

"I am not a freak, maybe you would do better with a smile on your face more often Kol Mikaelson!" She growled, and he shrank back from her, knowing he wouldn't be able to harm her. "Let us be on our way!" She declared, ready to jump through the mirror, with me right behind her.

"Niklaus...you're leaving us?" Rebekah questioned and I stopped, turning back around to see my family and froze...would I be back? The better question is, would it bother me if I couldn't return?
