Evana couldn't stop thinking about Neville, he flooded her thoughts. But she knew that they wouldn't ever be, her family wouldn't be able to handle it. It was Christmas morning and she was unwrapping a gift from her Grandmother, a beautiful icy blue dress.
"Evana, wow that dress it beautiful!" Sophia awed. "Whose it from?"
"My grandmother, she's one for lace..." Evana sighed, smirking.
"Well I think it looks awful!" Pansy hissed under her breath, Evana heard and shot a piercing stare at Pansy.
"Well at least it will fit me!" She grunted, only Daphne heard, she burst out laughing, making Pansy fume.
Pansy thought, "Careful you might remove your makeup when putting it on, your hag of a grandma won't be proud!" Evana had enough, hearing this she pounced on Pansy knocking her on the floor, her wand clutched tightly in her hand,.
"Take that back!" Evana roared. "NOW!"
"Evana, get of her, stop!" Sophia shouted, trying to pull Evana off the shaking lump.
Evana shook her off. "Parkinson, take it back! You pug face git!"
Pansy whimpered. "Fine I take it back, I'm sorry. You just don't understand. You have everything" Evana eased her grip and stood up, while Pansy scampered to the wall for support.
"I don't understand what." Evana wheased.
Pansy stood, shaking her dress off and flattening her bob to her face. "Your pretty and popular, your you!" She grimaced.
"You could be popular, if you were nice and didn't say toxic comments to anybody better than you, and besides you are pretty, but you hide it with a nasty attitude." Evana sighed, feeling sorry for Pansy.
"Evana, you have guys all ages chasing you, remember Marcus Flint? He was so obsessed with you he let you join the quidditch team in first year! Draco loves and adores you-" Pansy started.
"He's my cousin!" Evana shouted, losing patience. "And I don't have everything, no Mum or Dad, a home! Any close family, half my family is torn down the middle, and I don't know which side to take!"
Pansy was speechless. "Sorry."
"You just don't understand, and none of you ever will, I'm going for a walk." Evana sighed.
"I'll come!" Daphne smiled.
Evana paused. "Can I just go alone?"
"Yeah." Daphne said, half heatedly.
"Thank you." And with that Evana stormed down the stairs and right through the snake sealed door. Evana walked across the frozen black lake and to her tree. It was a cherry tree, at the moment all the leaves were frozen and pearly, it soothed Evana and she sat under the tree, hugging herself. She fell into an uneasy sleep, only to be woken later by Zander, her cat.
"Heya boy, I haven't seen you in a while, everything okay." Evana smiled stroking the silver cat, he purred and so Evana kept talking.
" Do you have relationship problems? In the cat world. Does some other cats hiss at you behind your back, and give you mice to your face?" Evana whimpered. Zander shook Evana off and looked in her eyes, his head tilted to the left.
"Guess not, then it's just me." Evana gasped, starting to cry, Zander came closer and rubbed his head on hers.
Hours passed by and it was getting really cold and dark, Evana wished she had brought some food and a blanket, her nose was red and Zander fled off after a mouse.
Evana thought in the deadly silence watching the warm glowing castle from afar. she hoped someone would pass by and lend her a scarf. She hoped someone would pass by just to give her a hug.
She begun to cry again and hummed to herself, Amazing Grace. "Evana?" Came a low, soft voice. Fred. "Evana!" Fred shouted.
"Here..." Evana whispered, she was becoming more and more weak by the second. Her eyes drooped as she clung to consciousness. Everything became dark, as the world tilted for Evana.
