Evana was still crying, looking hopelessly for Daphne and Blaise, she couldn't see them anywhere, she gained several curious looks, she eventually just found an empty compartment and sat down, she curled into a ball and tried her hardest the fall asleep.
After several minutes of trying to sleep the door creaked open to reveal Ethan Flint. "Evangeline." He smiled. "James told us what happened. I'm so sorry." He sat opposite Evana who was still curled up. "You do realize you hair-"
"I know." Evana hissed cutting him short. "Sorry."
"It's fine, James is just too proud, he does love you, but not enough." Ethan said, he moved next to the heavily breathing tear stained girl and hugged her. "You were there for me, so I will be here for you."
"Thanks Ethan." Evana smiled. "Can you stay, I don't know where Daphne and Blaise is..."
"Yeah, sure." Ethan smiled and took a book from his bag, Tales of Beedle the Bard.
"I love that book!" Evana says.
"I've liked since my moth-mother read it to me." Ethan mumbled. "She's gone."
"I'm sorry, is Marcus and Ellie alright?" Evana mumbled, Ethan looked in Evana's dark eyes.
"Yes, but Marcus, he's in a dark place right now." Ethan whispers, he starts shaking and Evana starts worrying.
"Ethan, it's alright, your mother died knowing only happiness and love, that's what you wanted, yeah? Your mother wouldn't want you sad, she would want you to be happy, knowing she is free!!" Evana whimpered, Ethan cried for about half an hour, Evana was just letting him lean on her, as the time passed by, Daphne and Sophia barged into the compartment.
"Evana!" They gasped.
"Hey." The red eyed girl grimaced.
"I was looking everywhere for you, are you alright?" Daphne said, with a smile to Ethan who sat bolt upright, and shuffled away from Evana.
"Yeah, sit down." Evana mumbled. Sophia sat opposite to Ethan and Daphne opposite Evana.
"Who was the girl?" Daphne said, she looked sad and worried.
"I don't know, Ravenclaw." Evana mumbled. "She was really pretty."
Daphne looked at Sophia and frowned. "She can't be that pretty if James said he still loved you."
"I still love him." The broken girl whispered. "I don't know why."
"Evana, listen. So many guys would kill to be where James was. You are seriously one of the most stunning, intelligent girl in Hogwarts. James took you for granted, and that's not fair, not at all. You don't need to feel bad about a stupid boy, who is so blind he didn't choose you over the blonde brat. It's his loss, your gain." Sophia said sternly.
"That's not true." Evana said, tears welling her eyes up, blocking her vision.
"Yeah it is." Ethan laughed. "I know at least ten guys who would do anything for you."
"Thanks, Ethan." Evana said lamely.
"It's true." Ethan smiled. Daphne and Sophia giggled. "I'm gonna go, see you later Evana." Ethan smirked and ducked out of the compartment leaving the three girls, one of which confused.
"Oh my god, Evana!" Sophia laughed, flicking her recently dyed red hair. Evana surveyed her own hair, it was pale blue.
"What!" She smiled.
"Two things! Your hair!" Sophia squealed, Evana rolled her eyes and explained she had inherited her grandmothers gift, much like Tonks.
"And the other, Ethan!" Daphne smiled sitting closer to Evana.
"What about him?" Evana sighed.
"It's obvious isn't it, he likes you. That's why he was so awful when you and James were dating, he was jealous. The whole time he was trying to show you that you were more than him!" Daphne said, she said it like it was so obvious.
"You think?" Evana smiled, she never really thought of it like that, and she could never like Ethan, not like that.
"Yes!" The girls shouted.
"Oh push off." Evana snorted and laughed a long with them
