I'm proud fo say I grew up in a farm, here's a feel of countryside living...
You wake up early in the morning, before the sun is up. Get your feet wet when you go out in the grass (because of the dew), cold morning wind brushes your cheeks. Cattles start to munch grass as eary as dawn, chickens make annoying sounds and birds start to sing. Literally!
This cow is not ours, I don't know how it ended up in father's farm.
Here's the wild berries you can find round our farm.
After harvest time, father would hoist a flag in his farm, a signal that simply says, "keep out of my farm" but still, some cows and goats cross the line. We don't have a horse but I used to mount a cow or a buffalo. It's fun to ride one. You'll freak out when the cow starts to trot. I must confess, I fell once. LoL
And just before dusk, you gather around with your cousins and siblings. Sit under a tree and watch your dog fetch a stick, play and fight (playfully) while waiting for the sun to set. Crickets start to chirp, unpleasant to hear, if I must say.
Our dogs, Whitey (brown and white) and Rolex (the other)
Your cat starts to stalk the chicks and the ducklings but before long, he will lie down a comfy spot and stretch, waiting to be petted. The sky is dim and the night starts to fall, then you wonder what time is supper.
This is my cat, Mao.
And at night, you snuggle with this little bundle of joy. She's grumpy but really pretty. With her amber eyes and piercing stare, she is my little Molly.
Thanks for checking.
